2024/25 Beto

It's a footnote to what happened yesterday, but despite him not managing to stay onside for the two offside goals, I think he had his best game in an Everton shirt yesterday. Maybe some context required about the level of opposition, but it was the first time in open play he's looked like an actual footballer.

Still, I'd rather twist and let him leave this summer, but I am beginning to think Moyes values him.
10 to 15 goals a season strikers don't grow on trees. I give you Neal Maupay

Anyone notice he has stopped looking for frees now too. When Moyes came first he was going over a bit easy and wasnt getting the decisions that he probably deserved. Now he is like a bull, at one stage yesterday he was fouled twice and kept going. Very difficult for defenders to deal with, which means space opens up around him, he exploited that a few times yesterday too with a couple of great passes and flick ons.

I don't get it, why would we want to sell a goal scorer?
We must keep him.
Match going fans love him as far as I can hear.
When the teams winning the fans will cheer for all the players, may criticise later on. Beto was ok yesterday, I think that because he was at such a low bar 6/12 months ago, like a poor championship striker in a lot of fans eyes and now he’s scored a few goals and had some good performances, some of our fans have gone to the extreme the other way. And you see the likes of drogba amd
Lukaku mentioned in the same posts.

We need to move away from this sentimentality nonsense, we have a bright future to look forward to and we need to stop falling in love With players, because they try. Beto’s level need to go up
Massively if he’s going to be our number 9 to carry us up the league and challenge for Europe, personally I don’t think he will ever be good enough.
