Are revels now are ended. These our actors,
As I foretold you were all spirits and
Are melted into air, into thin air:
And like the baseless fabric of this vision,
The cloud-capped towers, the gorgeous palaces,
The solemn temples, the Grand Old Lady herself,
Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve
And, like this insubstantial pageant faded
Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff
As dreams are made on, and our little life
Is rounded with a sleep

The violin and lone trumpet z Cars was very good and bought a tear to my eye, the stuff with the players was ok but the busker and band didn’t come across well on telly , sound quality was rubbish. One notable absence , Wonder where Kevin Ratcliffe was? our most successful captain.
anyone got any vids of the violin and trumpet? I missed the trumpet as my link died

gutted not to be there today

Not long got home.
What an emotional roller coaster of a day.
Spent it with my dad doing what we first went to do together more than 50yrs ago. Every week he took me from then until I had kids of my own and it was their turn.
We've laughed, sang, cried, hugged and cheered together all day like we were both kids again.
Nothing else can give us that.
Nothing else but Everton.

Gonna miss that old place
💙💙💙
Lovely story that Tommye, that sounds special, exactly what today would have been all about for many blues, hope everyone there savoured the day, because for a lot it'll be one of the saddest yet most special days of their lives. How all funerals should be observed, remember the good times and good days and celebrate and don't be sad, it's not goodbye because you'll still have the memories.

I think this sums up how it was for most of us today, whatever the traditions you have, how ever you do your own match day it’s all about the people you do it with. I to will miss the old place 💙💙💙💙

Just got home from a stupidly long day, got to spend several hours with some very lovely blues, only thing that let it down was the complete Tw@t who sold me tickets only to let me know an hour before the game he had a better offer, paid £1300 for 2 tickets FFS 🤦‍♂️, to all the blues who tried to make up for it,that is what sets us all apart, might not of made it into the stadium but what an incredible day

I went along today, well when I say went along I live on Goodison road, due to breathing difficulties and having to use oxygen, unfortunately I couldn't stay long, I will take a slow stroll around the ground when it gets dark, take my time and remember great games, great players and great mates, some who are no longer with us, I will remember my ma,who even when skint always found enough for me to get to the game, a woman who in her last couple of hours life was only interested in the nurse finding her a stream of Everton v Chelsea on her phone, I will say goodbye to a place I called my second home, more than a building , it was history
