New Everton Stadium

Let’s say the Hill Dickinson deal is worth the reported £10m. Would you be happy to have Qatar Airways as it’s a bigger name but it was lower than in value per year?

I wouldn’t. For better or worse, money makes the game nowadays and we need it badly!!! So what if people take the proverbial because the name says Dick in it or they don’t know who they are. Did anyone in here know who Standard Chartered where when they started sponsoring that lot? After today, Hill Dickinson has started making in roads in to becoming a ‘known’ global brand. It’s not a big deal what they’re called or who they are right now l. What’s important is that they’re handing over cash, and supposedly a decent amount of it.

I wouldn’t.

Local company putting millions to the club, a company that was formed on the docks is very fitting.

Much better than being part of sports washing or dodgy betting company.

People were going to have been happy with USM - oligarchs and the worst account in history that nearly destroyed the club.

With respect you not exactly proving anything other than your strong opinion yourself.

As for TFG throwing money at us, why do you think has ever been their intention and who outside of City’s owners is doing £20m per season sponsorships with their club?
They’ve just put themselves in hock to the tune of several hundred million to buy us, they want us to be sustainable which having just lived through what happened when Mosh threw money at us, is a much more sensible approach 🤷🏻‍♂️
I think it is quite reasonable that based on the size of the company that they will not be giving the a large majority of their profit away. If this is how they do business we will send them bankrupt in a couple of years!

That would be EVERTON THAT... 😂

If it is £10m it is a good deal from a solid local business... I just can`t see it being £10m, more realistically £4-£4m which would price it just behind the Emirates and in line with stadium sponsors on the continent.

Is all the faux outrage caused by the word Dick in the name.
A joke that maybe found funny by pre pubescent teenagers.
But it does some up a lot of our "fan" base
No, no, no.

It's because this is Division 20th of the corporate world and the brand identity you latch onto speaks volumes of your status as a club.

Everyone knows that.

How much exposure do you think Hill Dickinson gives Everton? It's all one way traffic.

It's a 'kin disastrous naming rights deal.

A car crash.

Do you really think I'm arsed about that part?

We''ve just been handed the name of a 20th division corporation.

The daft name is merely salt in the wound.
Oh i’m sorry were you expecting Apple, Nike, Ferrari…who the hell care’s 10 million a year is good for a team who have finished about 17/16/15/maybe 13th

Why do you actually even bother with this site! You just complain constantly

Jesus…must be draining in your company! Like a energy vampire

At least it's a local sponsor and not some on-line betting company based out of Kenya... Wouldn't want any part of that, right?

And it could be a lot worse...

Look at the good people of New Orleans who have an arena called "Smoothie King Center"... Makes "Hill Dickson" sound quite distinguished...

Hold on: we ALL were expecting more than this naming deal.

Let's not pretend anyone prior to this announcement would have been happy with Hill Dickinson.

We are a league stock with that. What sort of ambition does that shout out? None.

It's a naming rights deal for a League One club not a club that has it's sights on the horizon to the world.

It depends what the difference is really. £10m over £2m no, £10m over £8m yeah probably. Being involved with globally recognised brands would potentially make up a small shortfall quite easily, so I’d take the trade off. Unfortunately the reality is those brands don’t really have any interest in being associated with us, and it wasn’t always just wyness/elstone/kenwright/DBB being rubbish, the deals we’ve done are just the deals that have been available to us.

Does seem steep even if their profit was a record £50m this year.
But, if they have aspirations of joining the billion pound Clifford Chance’s etc maybe they just got some super ambitious leadership 🤷🏻‍♂️

A local business showing some ambition! And they've clearly been convinced by our new owners tha Everton also have ambition, and they'd like to put their name next to it! Much rather this than gambling, oil, or dictatorship states emblazoned over our shirts

Didn't we just get another billionaire onboard just a week or so ago? To a billionaire who couldn't live long enough to spend his money ten million a year is peanuts. Friedkin owns a huge Toyota dealership chain. Surely ten million a year would be well within their advertising budget.
Surely to god you understand the difference between investing in something and sponsoring something?

Good lord.

Do you think billionaires end up billionaires (and stay there) by carelessly throwing away tens of millions of pounds?
