Not those Kopites, no
For me, this has to be the biggest benefit of doing it.
During construction of the new facility on the Liverpool waterfront, Everton's previous ownership group announced plans for an £82m post-demolition renovation project at the Goodison site, which was set to include housing, a care home, retail units and a park.
A chunk if not all of that £82m being invested into the club via what ever means necessary would be a huge boost the P&L.
I think it will end up being a new look Goodison. Some stands will be demolished or change, and we will end up with a 10kish stadium thereDelighted Goodison is going to live on and hope it can see lots more success with the ladies team. However do feel it will be a bit of a white elephant If crowds don't pick up and they are rattling round in a massive empty ground, no good for players or fans experience.
Doesn't seem to be preventing ChelseaWhilst it may help in regards to PSR, I believe such a move isn’t allowed by UEFA, and could probably cause problems if we get into Europe.
I understand that, the point was more of an indicative cost to demolish and develop the legacy project. That cost would have increased if they had continued with the plan. By not doing so, the cost to demolish can be reallocate. The £82 won't be going back into the club. It was from Moshiris / Usmanovs pockets.
I think this is a really good thing.
I wonder if like Chelsea the Women’s team along with the stadium will be sold to another part of the Group which would help PSR no end.
