Delap scored 12 for a relegated team. DCL scored 13 and 16 goals and then low single figures for rest of his time in his 9 years . This is part of why we have struggled as a football team . He has i would say realised no team is giving him the money he wants ever and will try for a new deal . I Hope the club just say bye bye . We need 2 new good strikers in the next window simple as that and hope Beto and chermiti can improve as back up and challenge for places as well … BIG summer ahead for the future …COYB

He's had plenty of time to sign a contract as he spends most of his time on the physio's bench. He ran his contract down expecting a lot of clubs to bid for him as he's such a "prolific" scorer, but now he knows no one is coming in for him. He's kissing the badge and trying to suck up to the fans. Bye Dom.

The club should realise that and not go near a new contract. It's better all round for him and us.

Delap certainly had a hot streak of scoring in the PL, just like Beto. Even with other limitations in their games, that’s a big big attribute.Delap scored 12 for a relegated team. But I’ve watched him play a full match maybe 4 times since Christmas, and he was utter utter horrendous toilet every single time, and not just due to those around him.
Plenty buzz around him though. Maybe dropped off since their demise became pretty inevitable

….yep, he looks combative and competitive rather than top quality. Thought he was ordinary last week, Hirst actually provided more.

Should be able to find another 12-15 goal scorer somewhere in Europe for a fair bit less than the 30 million plus they'd want for Delap.
