2024/25 Beto

And keeping bang average players, we will never get top 10. It’s not rocket science
10 or potentially more than that goals a season striker, it's also not rocket science mate.

I get you hate him for some reason but he's a good second option and a PL player, as much as you dislike it. We cannot spend 100m on strikers, then 100m on wingers, then 100m on midfielders - we'll need a full squad, he'll fill it as a second/rotation option.

I'd sell both for Martinez at Inter, that's all I need to really know. The DCL/Beto thing is a small-time debate. The real question is who you keep as a backup and that depends on who you get in as a starter, so this DCL/Beto crap is all bullets with no gun.

I think it would be safer to bed the new striker in with Beto as backup to prove the new striker is good enough before selling him. Imagine how screwed we will be if the new striker fails.

I understand why people don’t think he’s good enough in the long term but that doesn’t mean it isn’t wise to keep him short term.

A strikers primary objective is to score goals. He does that in a bad team, imagine if he was fed by better wingers.
Think the manager wants DCL to stay by the noise coming out, also if we can get 20mil for Beto it’s basically not far off 10mil profit, which could get us delap and a 20mil winger on 5yr deals. We won’t keep
Both Beto and DCL and financially DCL makes more sense, if we can get a decent fee for Beto

The option is Beto or DCL and Moyes wants to keep DCL, also we can make money in Beto which helps buy new players. I don’t hate him, he’s just a poor player and we
Need better. I’d rather hate crap players
Than fall In love with them, because they try and run around like headless chickens and score the odd goal

Laugh all want, he’s right 95% of the time. Who do you listen to theEsk
No I don't pay for transfer gossip like it's the 80s and I'm addicted to ClubCall.

Out of the two of them Beto or DCL for next season if I had to pick one it would be Beto.

Anyone who is arguing with that is living in the past or in some imaginary hypothetical future where Dom is the player he was five seasons ago under the best manager in the world.

Dyche wanted Beto gone, not Moyes. Both are poor players, and both will probably find themselves as backups, hopefully.

The odd goal is 7 in 12 games my friend, headless chicken or not if he produces, he stays.

Most would pick Beto, I wouldn’t want either the difference is the manager wants DCL by the sounds of it. And that makes sense from a financial point of view, as I’ve already mentioned. 10mil profit on Beto can get us 50mil worth of players. DCL makes us no money if he walks and a Beto sitting on the bench next season will see his value drop, best time to sell imo

DCL doesn't make sense financially if he's always injured and never scores.

Everton were open to selling him in January, dyche left on the 4th of January, Only an injury to DCL changed that.

If DCL is fit, he won't want to be our second striker. If he's our second striker, we can't rely on him to stay fit.

Not sure what the benefit of keeping him is.

By the sounds of it?

Apart from wishful thinking what are you basing this on?

Beto has scored 7 league goals in 1260 minutes this season.

Dom has scored 3 league goals in 1595 minutes this season.

It's not even worth a debate. The results are in and they clearly favour Beto. It's a one horse race.

You’re not the manger or the recruitment team mate
Let’s wait and see, but I’d happily bet that Beto won’t be at Everton in September
Why have the club gone back to talking with DCL??

If Leeds give us over 20 mill for Beto I’m not even questioning it, that bid gets accepted and if it means we don’t have to sell an asset prior to June 30th to fund the spending afterwards then even more so.

If Calvert Lewin stays it can only be as a backup striker behind a new first choice with Chermiti being the younger option. Three players for one position would be enough. If we also had a wide forward who could play centrally (like Richarlison used to) then that would give us another option.
