2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Has Coleman ever dithered over signing a new contract here?

In the entire time he has been here he has always been clear about wanting to stay. Can you say that about Dom after this last year?

Injury problems are easier to stomach when it's one of your right backs versus the fella you are relying on to score the goals.

Calvert Lewin has been here about half the time of Coleman and for half of Dom's to e here he has been injured and inconsistent. Coleman has given us more than 2 good years.
over the past 3 seasons alone DCL has played more games than Coleman, the reason DCL didn't want to sign the contract is because it was offered when Dyche was here, no player would want to play for him, we even lost out on transfer options to Ipswich because of Dyche.
Being a striker is alot more pressure then a right back.

Coleman has given his good years but should have retired years ago as he knows he can't hack it but continues to take a wage, like now for example why doesn't he come out and say I am finishing at the end of the season, or is he waiting on a new contract?

Apparently, according to one poster on here, Coleman is able to give himself a new contract for another year if he chooses. It’s not up to the club 😂

DCL, the 28 year old has played more than a player in his 30s?

What point do you think this is proving?

Whatever the reason he didn't want to sign was the fact is that he didn't sign his contract offer. Coleman has never refused to sign regardless of which manager he was playing for because he wanted to play for Everton first and foremost.

None of this makes any sense at all. It's very simple why supporters aren't fond of overpaying a striker who has barely scored in four seasons and why they would be OK with renewing a loyal club servant and captain with a contract as a back up option.
