2024/25 David Moyes

What a lame excuse.

….many managers have a rule of only making one positional change, I think Moyes alluded to that post-match. Rather than switch a RB who’s playing very well to CB and bring a replacement RB on he went with the direct replacement.

I’m 100% sure he’s regretting that now, it changed the game completely.

I guess we will play Patterson/Young/Coleman next and O’Brian at CB.

We can all guess.

Id have guessed Alcaraz would have kept his place after Palace.

Beto would have been used over Broja.

All sorts of positive player 'testing' would have been welcomed by me to be ready for next season -- information gathering.

Instead im just angry with the manager who is doing so much right with spot on tactics.

The most obvious decision to make was Young to RB, O'Brien to CB.

There isn't too many moving parts to accommodate in all that.

This 100%

As soon as Keane was subbed on, it was obvious what was going to happen (and shock horror, he did. Yellow card immediately, [Poor language removed] up for the goal.)

Young would have been fine at right back and could have offered the calming voice of leadership after Tarkowski went off.

…I agree, surprised me. From his comments, I’m sure Moyes knows he made an error. The continuity might have been disrupted anyway, but O’Brien can’t have been as bad as Keane.

If a decision hadn’t been made about a new deal for Keane, it might well have been made now.

Not his best day in terms of starting line up or subs, but from his interview it sounds a bit more introspective/self aware than he used to be.

We can't be too harsh. He's got us safe when it felt for a long time we'd still be well in it right up to last game.

I think he'll always have inferiority complex with top teams. It'll happen next season too, but he's been brought in to give us stability while we bed in new stadium, owners & exec team.

He should be able to do that for next two seasons.

he’s not to know MK would balls it up

he now knows why he doesn’t play

Keane will leave for sure.

But his couple of mistakes shouldn't cloud where the real issue lies today: Moyes' decision making all day long.

Just no more Michael Keane please.

Changing too many positions is just bunkum.

So sick and tried of Keane getting picked by every bloody Everton manager ever, he’s been done since about 2019.
Captain chaos does what he does, but he’s not picking himself is he?

Moyes has done a fine job but his subs today were bad, he’s still got tonnes of credit in the bank. Cmon Davey, let’s start looking forward to the future and pick players who actually have one with us.

Chermiti/beto at cf.

Try JOB at cb with branthwaite if Tarks is out, patto at rb.

Get some of the youth players plying first team footy, and let us have a look at them.

No more young, Keane, broja etc.

Wouldnt go that far becuase well the squad will say he got it wrong, but is down to a real lack of quality cm,cb, out wide ect is several reasons. Feel some of the subs down to fatigue ndiaye gana. 100% the keane sub was wrong even if did get beat obrien to cb makes morr sense to me and for the rest of the season if tark out. With a better squad hopefully next season can really get a look how he uses the squad
