Final game at Goodison - confirmed Sunday 18 May, 12PM

Dont know whether this has been posted yet, or is indeed of any use to anyone, but, as it stands, Network Rail has scheduled engineering work for the weekend of 17-18th May. It'll affect anyone who travels over from the Wirral on the West Kirby and New Brighton lines and will involve a bus between Bidston/New Brighton and Hamilton Square. So an even earlier start from anyone travelling from those areas.
Seen this last night. Affects anyone coming from North Wales, also

Maybe it's time to get rid of nut jobs who think everything they do is great for the club.

Kicked off to stop it being under the lights and now the people they claimed it was unfair for, are further impacted. It's head banging stuff.

Should have been binned off after the badge fiasco years ago. Are minutes of the meetings ever taken or published?

I find it extremely unlikely that fans would've had any impact whatsoever on the decision. The TV companies don't care about the fans views, they've proven that time and time again.

It'll be as simple as Sky didn't pick it so TNT did and the early Sunday KO is their slot for that weekend.

Does anyone really believe that Sky wanted it for their MNF slot but then thought 'oh actually there was that Everton fan group who didn't want that so we won't bother and we'll let TNT have it'?

Of course not. They couldn't care less what fans think.

Time and routes as follows

6am wake up to walk dog
7am leave house
7:30am kick pub door down and grab 1st pint
9am breakfast
9:45am stagger to goodison
10am too tired to welcome team bus and try and find a bog to unload the morning log
11am try and have a couple of swift pints to find 2nd wind and enthusiasm
11:15am only wind you get is down below and another trip to bog required
11:30am power nap in your seat
11:55am roar team onto pitch
12:02pm boo team as the Saints take an early lead.
So you are throwing a sickie then.

I wish mate but it's definitely not a day I'll be able to. I'm absolutely gutted tbh, I don't think I would have gone to Goodison as I know I'd be too upset not being at the game. But I know I'd have wanted to watch the build up, the game, after the match etc.

Gonna be absolutely grim 😞

The fan group themselves won’t have directly influenced the decision, but whether the fan group have influenced Everton, who in turn have influenced the decision, is a different matter.

Incredibly unlikely still I'd say. Not even sure the clubs get much say, the only people outside the TV companies who have influence are probably the police and SAG.

Eg when we play Pompey next season the police will absolutely not allow any late or midweek KO's.

I think that’s a bit too simplistic. You’re talking about it as if all situations are equal, which obviously they aren’t. If we were talking about the club asking sky to give up the jewel in their broadcasting crown then they’d be given short shrift, but we’re not are we? I don’t think it’s particularly (or even remotely) unlikely that the club might say ‘we’d really rather it wasn’t on a Monday night’ and sky say ‘yeah we’re not really bothered like, no skin off our nose to put Liverpool on instead’. It’s not like they’re giving up millions of viewers here.
