Electric car advice

Water

A hydrogen engine, specifically a hydrogen internal combustion engine (ICE), uses hydrogen fuel to power an engine similar to a traditional gasoline engine. Instead of burning gasoline, it burns hydrogen, and the primary exhaust product is water. This technology is distinct from hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs), which use hydrogen to generate electricity to power an electric motor.

A firm in Germany have come close to get the price down , but have lacked any financial backing from government's .....
That's called a Subsidy, it needs 'funding' aka subsidy because it's not economically viable due to sky high electricity prices caused by governments headlong dash to total renewables
London have Hydrogen Engine buses.....

The only lead acid battery in an ev is the 12v one same as a ICE car.
The HV battery’s in EVs and hybrids are generally lithium-ion. Within lithium-ion types, there are variations like Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP), Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC), and Nickel Cobalt Aluminum (NCA)
A lot of which is recyclable for the ‘rare earth’ metals.
The Lithium has to be mined very green for the environment = NOT -

I’ve hit a new low when I’m asking for advice on here but a real man isn’t afraid to ask for help.

I’m looking at getting a new car, the thing that’s putting me off going electric is the charging, availability of chargers, the time it takes and potential resale value.

I’m probably going to go 2nd hand which worries me with resale, I live around Lark Lane and see people scrambling to get their car charging on lampposts. Can anyone give any advice or their experience of what it’s actually like to live with one. I don’t know anyone who has one to ask.
Look for a petrol 1.2 TSI - economical some only have £20 road tax .... That's what I did .....

Im not arguing for or against EV green credentials. The question was asked for advice on buying a first EV, you brought up acid in EV batteries which is incorrect.

At worst EV’s are as bad for the environment as ICE cars.

Personally id choose an EV as i like their characteristics not necessarily because i see myself as an eco warrior.

If you are advocating for green transport your point should be a about bicycles or going back to a horse and trap, not telling people to buy 1.2L ICE cars.

Its all about choice mate as for cyclyst they should pay road tax & insurance over the age of 18 years old ....
as for a horse & cart how about the methane gas .... Its just got expensively stupid IMO my car is very economical on petrol hence the £20 road tax with less emissions ....
I like the idea of that car that recharges the battery , but one ask how long will they last ?

Is that 4 or 5 cars you now have? I know that workshop is very grand but where are you keeping em?
My mini, the wife's mini convertible on the drive. Daimler v8 in a carcoon on the drive, xj6 in the car port and MG midget in the garage. If I could vount that high, I'd be worried about how many that is. Thinking of selling the Daimler, because I don't like the carcoon out the front.

All together they cost about the same as the tesla did, but 3 of them will hold their value, at least.

Careful buying any car with Chinese parts, turns out some are being suspected of spying for the Chinese state and certain employers are not keen employees using these vehicles near sensitive work places.

link when it lands.

Battery acid will kill the rivers in Africa

Is that Toto's lost original chorus?
