Final game at Goodison - confirmed Sunday 18 May, 12PM

I noticed a big increase in stewards at each turnstiles for the Arsenal games. There was around 4 stood on the stadium side, when usually it’s one whose half arsed looking at the light to check if it’s a child or adult ticket.

In terms of the post about the derby and bunking in, that’s cos the big gates are open. I imagine for the final game; they won’t open them and you’ll have to ask to be let out if leaving early.

Would have thought Merseyside police would have something to say on this being a night game. They’re quick enough if it’s too windy. More importantly it should be the club demanding that the fixture should not be an evening kickoff.

i think the club want it on the monday

majority of fans dont

sky probably fancy it for MnF

see what happens, just want it announced now

good to know the club didnt fancy us for the cup final

Take all the seats out of Lower Gwladys, The Paddock and Park End, let everyone in for nothing and refund those already paid on a season ticket as a thank you for years of loyal service. No?

Big games at Croke Park they set up perimeters at junctions well, away from the ground where you have to scan your ticket to access the road. You then have to scan at the turnstile again. It’s in a dense residential area like around Goodison with a good few pubs maybe like the distance where Tom frost is away. One hotel, there akin to the Winslow (albeit it’s new and big!)

I mentioned this earlier in this thread, but I will say it again: this match needs an exceptionally high number of security staff, both inside and outside the stadium.

Whilst I cannot comment on people forcing entrance, as I personally have not witnessed it this season, I would be concerned about the final game. As others have mentioned, something surely needs to be put in place in the vicinity of Goodison (Stanley Park possibly), to offer supporters without a ticket the opportunity to view the match and also experience Goodison for a final time.

Hopefully everything goes to plan, but I still don't want the final game at Goodison to be a Monday night match.
