Season Ticket Waitlist

I’m 5501-6000, unreal how short sighted we are. Build a new stadium and there’s still 20k on season ticket waiting lists, crazy.

Why is it short sighted? That’s a very clear indication of supply and demand, there is no way the amount of blues in the city could have fitted in Bramley, mate. I’d have guessed if we had a 100k stadium we probably would have still had a list.

The plan for building the new stadium was first to increase revenue, have a slight increase in season ticket sales. The big increase in corporate and having a good amount of tickets on a match to match basis. Folks going to a handful of games are more likely to be spending a bit more in the club shop, buying a program and getting some food in the ground. Regular ST holders might be more inclined to go straight to the game and not go to the shop and might meet their mates before hand for some ale in local pubs rather than get in early and drink at the ground. To get a good spot on the waiting list you`d have to have kept buying membership for a few seasons, just a way to get fans to spend a few quid more in the hope they might get a chance of getting some of those extra ST for BMD.

Yep, anyone who thinks having a sold out stadium every week, a decent number of tickets available for occasional matchgoers to spend more money, and a guaranteed revenue stream from thousands of people continuing to pay memberships with a view to eventually getting a ST is short sighted isn't really au fait with how businesses work.

Unfortunately for the consumers you’re absolutely spot on. 10/15 years a ticket will be £100 as a standard, maybe even less

So nobody thinks having a brand new stadium with 30k on a waiting list is bad business?

Good luck and goodbye to Everton if I had to pay that every week to watch a game of footy.

its £55 now at Goodison be suprised if its not atleast £65 to £70 or plus for the seats in the new Main stand area, theyve gotta recoup as much as they can and will try, we are close to city centre from next season which means more day trippers/tourists/students sorry to say

£60 for some matches this season (City, Liverpool etc), would chance a guess at £70 for next season
