I remember my first and only Everton game at Goodison: a 1-1 (Naismith scored) draw with Man City in January 2015. My life was just about to fall apart a few months later.
Everyone thought it was strange, a bloke turning 30 almost and travelling from Hartlepool to see a team nobody in our town would even consider supporting.
A lot has happened since then, but my love for Everton has only become more acute. I'm now almost 40 and I haven't seen them play at Goodison since that day. I doubt I ever will now.
But I can't wait to see them play in their new place one day. And life is so much better now too. Onward, toffees.
The start of better things to come.

best mates with the big man Blue, back row is 63 so towards the back. I could have got closer to the pitch in the north stand but those extra few hundred metres getting out to the south side may make the difference when I'm legging it for the last train home for evening games
