Does DCL even get in those positions? Beto seems to have had more one on ones int he last few games than DCL has had his whole career here. I think people forget how poor DCL is as well when he has time to think about the finish, Beto is at least trying to put it in the corner. Don’t think I’ve seen DCL finish without falling over as he takes the shot

The video you put up. From his best ever season, with James Rodriguez, Richarlison Digne, Siggurdson, Iwobi around him. In front of no fans. There’s possibly two goals that are equivalent to the ones im talking about Beto finishing (being played through necessitating taking a touch and beating the keeper)

He was a very good striker that season but it’s a collection of first time finishes, tap ins, headers etc.

If push came to shove and I had my mortgage on an Everton striker going through on goal after being played through I’d be picking Beto over DCL. Doesn’t mean he’s a better striker than DCL because I doubt Beto is there to score the pull backs and headers DCL does, but people saying Calvert Lewin would slot these chances he’s missed? I just don’t think he’s even there and if he is I doubt he’s calmly rolling it under Allison.

I’m not saying DCL isn’t a useful striker when he’s fully fit and in form but he’s not a good finisher by any stretch.

So you have seen him finish without falling over then?
 
Beto isn't good enough. He misses so many chances and his first touch is terrible. As long as we get two better strikers in, I've no problem with Beto getting sold. I think he's Scottish Premier League level.

The ‘as long as we get 2 better strikers in’ sounds easy but then you look at the range of utter duds we’ve signed since Lukaku.

Keep Beto or we are just giving our self another problem in a summer when we have enough of them.
 
After CP and Mufc, I thought Beto, with more game time, might have enough to get the gig permanently.
The Brentford goal was his fault. He loses the ball with poor technique in midfield, Brentford take a shot, from the resulting throw-in he completely misses his header
and it's a goal.
As for his misses they are should be on tik-tok.
I hope DM now picks Chermeti and Broja and even that Irish lad for the rest of the season so that in summer DM has all the evidence he needs to decide.

I think O`Brien could have been a bit more alert to clear the ball for that one. Not sure why our center forward should be defending a throw in deep in our penalty area, but he should have been able to judge the flight of the ball, he jumped plenty high and still it went over his head. I`m hopping that we`ll see Alcaraz playing with him for the next few games, as I put some of his poor showing on Saturday down to the fact he had Doucoure up top with him.
I`d like to see Chermiti get some good run outs too, but not so sure we should be giving time to Broja, we took a chance on him, he got injured, let some other team take a gamble on him.
 
Not great when balls put into the 6 yard box. Always seems behind the play or just can’t seem to get it in the net.

Good running on to it, however seems to try the same finish every time.

DCL is the opposite and is better around the 6 yard box. Unfortunately we haven’t played in that way since Carlo.

Both have their uses. Would like to see them up top alongside each other.
