Whatever, the thing is, I appreciate him, he did a job, never hides, when some others players did, but they were not slagged off as much.
I always stick up for the players many of our fans pick up...

Good decision by the Club with regards to Doucs contract. Offer him a new contract on much reduced terms and if not accepted shake his hand and thank him for his service.

Doucs is the highest earner at Everton followed by Pickford, Gueye, Tarks, DCL, Harrison, and Keane accumulating to around £745k per week.
With Doucs either gone or on reduced wages and the 3 who should be leaving in Harrison, DCL and Keane I am sure we can get better decent players with those saved wages. Big summer ahead.

Think some of those saved wages could help us retain Branths by doubling his wages at least

Didn’t you say he’d get a 2yr deal not so long ago. What do you expect Moyes to say, he’s crap and can’t wait to get rid in the summer. There’s no way I’d want doucoure as first choice next season or Beto for that matter and I’d imagine Moyes is the same, we’re safe now and we should be planning for next season. I don’t really want soucek but Moyes is definitely a fan of him and he’s an upgrade on doucoure

What role exactly does Doucoure play? In most cases he is often playing supporting the striker, with recently Gana and Garner behind him. This is where I would be playing Alcaraz too!

You said you wouldn't be surprised if we gave Keane and Doucoure 2 year deals on the same wages, at which point I said that would be a terrible idea. Luckily the club seem to agree, at least on Doucoure, and probably on Keane.

And by all accounts gana is close to resigning

I didnt write the story, im just saying, there is talk around that he might sign on reduced terms.

Our manager today even said we arent guaranteed to stay up by the way, we could probably lose every game till the end of the season and stay up, but its not certain.
