6 + 2 Point Deductions

Bit concerned about Moyes alluding to us having a "bill to pay" before being clear on PSR- compensation claims?
I thought it was clumsy language. Mr honesty Dyche raised concerns mentioning PSR then spent the next 4 pressers clarifying to say there is no issue.

Possible Moyes is referring to the oldest year that will drop off the 3 year assessment period this summer and will leave us fully clear with substantial headroom, given the last 2 accounting periods have been austerity central.

Yeah that’s what I thought. Didn’t explain it well at all, but the last big year is dropping off this summer, so I assume that’s what it is. I also expect a lot of activity in the commercial side of the business this summer, so I’m sure we’d have more to spend anyway.

City 115 charges will be interesting...I think that what we will end up with is a verdict of not guilty but also not innocent due to the complexity of the case so that it doesn't make a mockery of the entire stuff especially at the back of our huge initial 10 points penalty last year. If there is a point deduction for city, it will be small enough to guarantee pl survival...so let's wait and wait to announce it until they know for sure how many points they need. It's corrupt beyond repair.

So. It turns out that even if City were to be found guilty, they will then have a separate process to apply a punishment. That punishment can be appealed by either City or the PL, and will not be applied until such any such appeal is completed. Meaning that they may face no punishment for at least until after next season.

How can they make such a mess of this?

It's working perfectly for the job it was intended for. Keeping the clubs who try to challenge the glamour clubs in their place. As if they were ever going to punish City. Can't have the 'product' damaged.

I'd be amazed if they get punished at all. Seems pretty obvious to me the Premier League are only interested in punishing the vulnerable, bit like a playground bully who only picks on the weakest to empower them. And that Masters is as crooked as his teeth

Whereas our punishment was placed immediately. This is some absolute horse manure.

Easy one law for the Sky darlings and one law for the rest, sickening but true it seems.

Watch them keep appealing it until the rules change at which point they’ll claim it’s no longer valid and it’ll quietly be thrown out.

We lost £38m in 2022 & £89m in 2023.
2024 accounts will be on Co House at end of March.
Obviously there will be add backs to reduce that etc but I wouldn't assume there will be substantial headroom yet. Definitely better than past 4 years though IMO.
