AS Cannes are in fourth division, yet they managed to advance to the quarter-finals of their domestic cup, where they will face Guingamp.

Last week they also rose to the top of the Championnat National 2. Only one team gets promoted to the third division, so they need to keep the first spot until the end of the season.

Curious on the Roma forum, do you have an Everton thread too, and if so... how well are we received?

Yes, I opened it as documented by jimishorts.

We obviously talked about Everton even before, but there wasn't a specific thread. We used the general premier league thread.

As I said on various occasions, Roma fans don't love Liverpool FC, so Everton is generally well received.

To be fair I have a soft spot for Guingamp.
Great fans and to this day the smallest town to have a ligue 1 team (previously now ligue 2). This was the last game I went to there.

Hard to believe, but they've knocked out Guingamp and are now in the semifinals of the french cup! A 4th division club knocks out a 2nd division team.

3-1 Cannes.

They can't lose the first spot in the league now.
