The way he fell was like he had been tripped and not being held back by having his shirt pulled. We`d probably have missed the penalty anyway.

I get that this is likely a coping mechanism, a way of reducing any anger, but can we stop with the "we'd have missed it anyway" shouts?

We had earned the chance to have the opportunity to score it. Thats the only thing here. We s ore far more penalties than we miss, by a MASSIVE margin, if we weren't likely to have scored, they'd have not bothered taking the opportunity off us.

Also, just wondering, what happened to the immediate yellow card for crowding referees? Has that been knocked on the head now?
Have seen something saying that if more than a certain number do it then it goes in the match report and charges can be brought against the club.
We are waiting to see in ManU get charged.

I`ll stop with the "we'd have missed it anyway" shouts folks stop blaming the officials for not giving us a penalty in a game we were cruising 2-0 to a really poor united team. Its bad losing a lead when their manager looked like he was going to start crying in the dugout because his team was so poor on 60 minutes.

I think a lot of what’s said about the VAR decision is true. But if we’d just kept the lead instead of making bad decisions that led to the opposition getting back in the match, we’d have cared a lot less about VAR. We blew the lead and everything depended on the outcome of that call instead of winning out the match and shrugging off the non-pen call.

But the people going on about the penalty award being turned over are spitting bare facts. Yes we should have had it won in the first, but we didn't. Should people not have celebrated the equaliser against Liverpool because we went 1-0 up and should never have gone 2-1 down, it's a ridiculous notion. Games can change, ebb and flow, it's happened since the day the sport was created. Penalties though, statiscally, are FAR more likely to be scored than not, so the "we'd have missed it anyway" shouts are just pure nonsensical.

Anyway, I'm ill, tired and properly fed up, so I'm just being a nark. I can't tell you or anybody what you can or can't do, so crack on. But it's daft, and I'm somewhat irked by it.

I get what you are saying. But these mistakes happen so often. If you were robbed of a win, you were robbed of a win regardless of the mistakes you made. I feel like Young was robbed of a chance to redeem himself and the officials went out of their way to change the call. He did well to get in front of both of them and he was clearly held. I wouldn't hail this as a tactical masterclass from Moyes. The game was butt ugly. But we should have won

That was no mistake yesterday.

Corruption at its finest.
