I’ve never seen a more remarkable turnaround at everton, and struggling to think of a better one in english football in recent memory, maybe emery at villa

club is transformed, all these players that looked below par or we didnt even get to see play are looking like very good footballers with great characters

there’s a proper spirit in this side. I’m getting 08/09 vibes where no matter who was missing or injured, the team turned up every week and put in great performances with a mix of grit, discipline, skill and moments of brilliance

I’m in love with this team having 6 weeks ago only watching us purely because it was the last chances to go to Goodison

now I’m reading about us every day like a teenager, singing the terrace songs on my way to work, rewatching highlights and broadcasts on repeat. this is a special special time in the club’s recent history. and it’s down to Moyes

To be fair both Howe and Emery came in, had a positive initial impact and then made it sustainable by getting top 4 the following season. Both aided by significant funds ….not expecting that but his initial results have made it comfortable now and hopefully the players are starting to play with a little more freedom.

It’s just a standard new manager bounce, everyone has them. Except for Dyche, who took 15 games to rack up his 4th win when he first arrived.

Wasn‘t a game where we necessarily were the better team, but pretty impressive how he found a way to make us pretty effective within a very short time, while still keeping the defensive stability we had under Dyche
