2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

I agree that Dyche kept us up in an absolutely horrible year, the points deductions felt like everyone was out for us and he steered us through that.

However, I can honestly say I have never in 30 years of going the game dreaded going the match like I did under Dyche this year. The gaslighting of the fans, the dumbing down of expectations and the total capitulation at the end and welcoming the sack for me means whatever good he did was far outweighed by the bad.

We are all of course entitled to our opinions and I see your point, but I’m glad to see the back of him.

He was the symptom of what Moshiri, Kenwright and co put us in.

Day one he was here he admitted the same. That he shouldn't be Everton manager but Everton are where they are. Bielsa legged us and nobody wanted to be the manager who took Everton down.

Dyche must hate Moyes. He absolutely exposed the dinosaur and showed what
Indeed. When we're winning titles (or a league cup) at Bramley Moore, most fans will credit Dyche for keeping head above water in a torrid time. Needed moving on but did the job we desperately needed at the time.
Do you still think no manager can improve on Dyche unless we buy a bunch of new players mate?

Dyche did a good job last year and I am grateful for that. Points deductions are not going to be easy for any bottom half manager to deal with.

He did an extremely poor job this year and can have no complaints with being sacked. If anything we waited far too long to change. Dyche showed he only knows one way of playing and wasn't able to improve the players in the attacking third.

Moyes is a far superior manager to Dyche. People underestimated the difference in quality when Moyes was appointed, but its becoming clear now. I am very happy we made the change.

Again I agree, you’re not wrong. Our biggest issues have been bigger than any manager we have had here in the last 20 years. Our problems have been at the top for as long as I can remember, we have had and may continue to have poor owners and an even worse culture. Hopefully the new guys are different but time will tell for them.

I’m not saying am rationale about it, in fact rationality scarcely exitists in football. I hated the bloke, and no rationale argument as right as it is can change how he made me feel and how he made me feel going the match week in and week out.
