ToffeeWeb has changed ownership. Lyndon, nor Michael run it anymore.

An update from Lyndon on his new website Evertonia below.

Fellow Blues,

Welcome to Evertonia. Those of you long enough in the tooth to have been around on the early Web in the late 1990s will remember that this is where it began for me in terms of creating and maintaining a website devoted to this club we all love. And, after 24 years of running ToffeeWeb, I’ve come back to my Evertonia.com home where all of my Everton content will now live.

As of this past week, beginning 3rd February 2025, ToffeeWeb is in new hands and both mine and Michael Kenrick’s involvement with the site came to an end. The transition has taken longer than I expected and it wasn’t the clear-cut change-over I had anticipated so I apologise for the lack of clarity to this point. Hopefully this explains the changes that have been taking place.

If catching up on news and being able to discuss it with fellow Blues was what you liked about ToffeeWeb, it will continue to be a news resource and community like it always has been, just with a different voice. If my style of content was a draw to TW for you, I hope you won’t be disappointed by Evertonia. As most of you will have seen, the Podcast was re-branded a few weeks ago to The Evertonia Podcast — the same team, the same content, just under a different name.

It is an opportunity for me to focus my energies on longer-form, more in-depth writing in a more “magazine-style” setting, with the same emphasis on and encouragement of measured, cordial, respectful discussion between my fellow Evertonians. I'd also love this to be a site featuring quality articles and editorial from fellow Blues so if that sounds like you, let me know or send in an article for consideration.

An accompanying Forum, currently in Beta stage production but open for you now to use and kick the proverbial tires on, is an area to discuss all manner of things related to the Blues and the game beyond that won’t be covered on the main part of the website.

If you were a visitor, member or Sapphire subscriber to ToffeeWeb, no matter for how long or how frequently, I sincerely thank you. Your support means the world — even more so if you decide to support Evertonia by adding this site to your regular Blues-related destinations as well!

As with all things new, getting the word out is the challenge so if you like what you see here, please do spread the word and let your mates know about the re-birth of Evertonia. In the meantime, feel free to create a member account so you can join in the discussions or get in touch with any questions, feedback or issues, or if you'd like to become a regular contributor to website.

And, last but not least, Up The Toffees! 💙

I love Toffeeweb’s Past players page so it will be interesting to see if they update that . I do like an essay though so I’ll keep an eye on Evertonia’s front page .
I’ll stick to using this site’s forum though . Misery loves company and Davek can’t be everywhere at once .

It's a tremendous resource. I use their archiving regularly.

Tad concerned they'll lose that in time as I'm not sure it's run by Everton fans anymore. Looks like agency putting content creators in. If so, they'll just chase clicks and care about little else.

Wonder how many people still use it? A lot of the contributors seem a fair bit older. Their match forum is often a good resource for finding ‘alternative ways to watch the game’
The owners seem well liked so I’d imagine most their current contributors will follow them to their next place.

It had become the same half dozen people chatting wham to each other most of the time, and the articles were dull. To be fair, Sam Hoare was good and so was Robert Tressell, so maybe they'll turn up on here. Don't know if the new owners are even Evertonians - it reads like its been written by AI now.

Michael Kenrick was very much a man with a fork in a world of soup of late. Probably needed a break, so good luck to him and Lyndon. Mind you, we all need a break from Everton at times
