New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Where will you park just to visit it midweek for a drink/mooch around with the new restrictions?
Well if there was some actual action on the public transport front that wouldn't be an issue. If the future of this club is some big soulless dome that you can only vist on matchdays or with £10 to park in special parking then I'm not at all impressed

The club are/were under pressure from the EPL to go digital, also there is an enviromental issue with plastic cards.
There are tens of millions of plastic cards in day-to-day use in the UK. Public transport, banking, loyalty cards. Yes some are migrating to fully digital, but there's still enough plastic floating around to build a bridge to Ireland, or block up whale blowholes.

I am genuinely surprised that the move doesn't fall foul of discrimination legislation - I'm sure a case could be made if you can find a suitable left-leaning lawyer who's not in government.

Diabolical lager... suppose it is what it is.

I used to run boozers so I get the jist of how it works,I was more hoping against hope It wouldn't be the usual suspects.

Suppose a Corona top will have to do, it just means it will limit the time I'll spend there after the match drinking.
I've not been to the Amex, but I did see the original concepts. The plan was to light up the away concourse in the away team's colours, and to have a selection of beer from the locality - e.g. Barnsley Bitter for when they were playing (that was the actual example in the concept I saw). I've no idea if this is what they went for, as they weren't a Premier League club either then, and can't see them going to the trouble of getting Black Lodge or Love Lane (if they haven't gone bust, again) in, or Schouskjelleren Mikrobryggeri for when our neighbours play there.

Guiness and leffe are more than fine, and lifting us miles above the slop of carling and coors currently.

If it’s draft guiness im overjoyed tbh.
Guinness on draft in a rapid-retail environment? And in plastic? Good luck with that!

I have a lot of customers asking about me now about hosting them at BMD next season. It’s going to be very popular amongst fans of all clubs. Good times ahead. 😊

I think it should be up to the clubs to decide what way they want to issue tickets for games. The clubs are more in touch with what format their fans would prefer to have to gain access to games. I still prefer to have a physical ticket in my hand, whether a paper ticket or card, when I go to a game. Digital ticketing sounds great until your phone packs in and you can`t get access to the ticket. I`ve gone to matches for years and when you had a paper ticket or season card all you had to do is not lose it before getting to the gate.
The switch to using plastic cards was probably more of an attempt to stop ticket touting, as it made it harder to sell your season ticket for individual games as you couldn`t hand you card to anybody as you`d need to get it back for the next game. But folks have found ways around this, so I think going digital is more a way to clamp down on folks selling tickets themselves for a bit of a premium.

Love lane have been completely bought out by Tom Morris of Home Bargains fame so they aren't going bust any time soon,Black Lodge which is still "independent" would be and option the problem for them is actually brewing enough to keep up with match day demand, whatever that may be.

I'd be looking at Azvex or Colbier both a stones throw from the ground make exceptional beer and could probably meet demand...that being said I'd be surprised if Amarak go off piste and bring in a local independent, but we live in hope.

They ALL are. Whether you like it or not, that’s the way we’re headed and you’ll just have to accept it. There won’t be a physical card for anything anywhere in the next few years.

It's interesting - think the reality of the travel situation is starting to hit home for a lot of people.

The first test event is round the corner, a good chunk of people have their new seats etc and it's becoming real.

Unfortunately, what's now happening is that people are starting to pay more attention to how they're going to get to/from the ground and the reality is that Sandhills looks like it will be utter chaos. No confirmation about any increase in the number of trains, a few crash barriers on a strip of tarmac to manage the huge increase in usage of the station. A 30 min (in all directions) no parking zone and some vague talk of regular shuttle buses into town.

Getting to the ground might not be too bad, but it feels like getting away is going to be ridiculous and for a lot of people a 30 min+ walk into town will be option that ends up being the least worst.
