mcfadden was a striker who got shunted out ot the left wing early on, cos he was left footed

pienaar was always a 10/attacking midfielder, who moyes shifted out to the left. great player but not a winger. was more about link ups and intricate play, came inside a lot. moyes himself said he wasnt a winger on that coaches voice video

Bily again was a CAM/10. shuntd to the left at times and completely ineffective there. his best traits of shooting from range and passing were best suited to a central player

If I may out pedant you…Mirallas was a forward when we bought him. Moyes moved him to the wing. Oh, and there’s no chance Kilbane would be a left back. None whatsoever.
 
There's a few different sources now claiming that we have agreed to sign Fellows from West Brom. Not sure if they are just copying the original claim whilst pretending that they are ITK.

Mad for a team that didn’t score many goals before last two home games…doesn’t fill a man with confidence…

If there’s any position in modern football that needs a bit of depth it’s out wide and up front, so many points won and lost in that last 30 of games where the bench makes a difference.

It’s great that moyes has turned it round a bit, but being a glass half empty person it has papered over cracks. Imo we needed a few reinforcements before two season ending injuries…

I think you have to consider that this season is just about surviving and starting to improve our financial position. The chances of us being relegated have reduced a lot, so the need for us to buy has reduced too. Unless there are great options available (and we know Jan isn’t great for value), isn’t it better to wait for the summer to start rebuilding the squad?
