We all know there'll be a bad day at the office don't we? A day when nothing we try works out and we get punished by some immaculate finishing of half chances.
Like the United game after the first points deduction. Siege mentality, protest march to the ground against the Premier League, cards held up and singing about the Premier League being corrupt then Garnacho scores a worldy overhead kick from the edge of the box to bring us crashing back down to earth. We're due one of those days, we can't keep winning forever but at least when that day does come we won't worry that it's the start of another 14 game winless run like Dyche served up.

DM admitted he is only a stop gap for 2 years .....
(As we've just seen) a week is a long time In football, 2 yrs is half a lifetime these days.
There are no guarantees
It could all turn to custard...this is EFC after all.
But there's just as much chance at the end of Moyes 2.4 yrs (reputedly actually a 1.5 with a 1 yr option) we will bemoaning the fact that we 'only' finished 8th and adding...if only Moyes would take the handbrake off a little and let them play.
Which is where we were 12, 13yrs ago.

I'll...reluctantly...take that.

I'm very happy about Moyes leaning into the Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman duo. I love the fact that at full time they stand together on the touchline thanking the players as they leave the pitch.

I'm wondering if the short term plan is for Moyes to complete his 2.5yr contract and then hand the reins over to Baines, with Coleman becoming his No2. Moyes to move upstairs to become DoF. 🤔

If Moyes sees out his 2.5 year contract (e.g hasn’t been fired for any reason) I honestly can’t see him not agreeing another deal. He loves the place and if we’re on an upward curve he’s going to want to carry on (and hopefully the feeling is mutual). I want to see him lift a trophy with us and complete the journey he started back in 02.

Pardon me if I've missed the sarcasm but there'd be no reluctance here. That'd be an excellent job, for that stage.
