Beto scored twice in the 4-0 thrashing of Leicester on Saturday but there seems to be positive news on the injury front, with the on-loan Armando Broja expected to be back in action in four to five weeks from an ankle injury, rather than the 12 weeks that was initially expected.
While I don't doubt Beto being able to carry us through the season, I don't imagine Broka will be impactful, he's more likely to get injured again especially if we're too hasty with getting him back into the team

‘Club sources have indicated that there are no strikers available at the right price in the current market’

What?! Worldwide? Why do they employ loads of people if they keep goin round in circles about Gnonto and anyone on this forum could ‘find’…pathetic

I actually think Gnonto would do well under Moyes - different attributes, but shades of Bowen about him.

Perhaps Harrison going back as well to smooth the deal freeing up a loan slot.

BBC says:
Not anticipating any issues with Everton's loan signing of Carlos Alcaraz from Flamengo, but the Argentine may well be the only arrival of the transfer window.

Club sources have indicated that there are no strikers available at the right price in the current market that can come in and improve the team immediately.

The Friedkin Group have come in as the new owners and the Profit and Sustainability situation has improved, but money is going to be spent wisely rather than for the sake of doing so.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin should be back from a hamstring issue before the end of the season, while Youssef Chermiti could also be back from a thigh injury in the next three to four weeks.
I'm on board with not spending for the sake of it, if none of the options you considered viable were reasonably available, and it's great news that we could have a full complement of strikers in 3-5 weeks, but there are a fair few games in that 3-5 weeks for any striker to contend with, let alone one who is only just (hopefully) finding his feet.

At least it would have been nice to sign an attacker to play in Illy's spot if he assumes striker duties for a game/part of a game here or there.

Clearly the entire press know that we need a striker but it's interesting to me that there isn't a single rumour about a player in another position. I wouldn't be shocked if a random signed in another position today, but this is Everton, so expect nothing
