Exactly what I think is going to happen.

This is definitely not a criticism but I think this is so indicative of where we are and maybe part of the reason why we are . We’ve been so disappointed and let down for years we convince ourselves that we’re going to be let down again .

It’s why when teams score against us we’re convinced they’ll get another even if we’re still ahead and there are minutes left , it’s why we file out of the ground the minute we go behind and why we make arrangements to meet outside at away games if we go one or two down but not what’ll happen if we win .

It’s been a long time in the making and why I suppose I was a bit disappointed to get Moyes and not some exciting new name . Moyes has though exceeded expectations so far , so long may that continue . I just hope we can get someone else in as well as Alcatraz , win the next couple and start to shake this decades old monkey off our back .

He’s been recalled because Potter wants to play him apparently. Considering he can’t play for another club this season, that has to be the case!

What I would say to that is we started to pay wages far beyond our income, a few seasons ago I think we were actually the highest % in Europe of wages/income.

Wages are the killer as they just keep ticking over week after week.

That would have been sorted by sponsorship, and Usmanov coming on board officially after stadium rename that Russia's war ended.

Villa are spending more % to their revenue on wages now than we ever were.

The media has done a number on the narrative around Everton's struggles. Stadium, Russia's war and previous board never get a mention.
