Ran the midfield again today, tackled everything near him, pressed like his life depended on it, played some good passes as well. Also helps that he’s just sound loveable fella.

Smallest man on the pitch stood the tallest yesterday. It's telling the players went over to him at FT. In a midfield that's been so wishy-washy for a long time, he's often been a consistent and constant performer.

One of the most underrated players in last decade here. Excellent in his first spell and despite being mid 30s now he can still get around the pitch doing what is needed to disrupt most teams when they start getting attacks going.

Also has the right mentality needed in a run in when other players start getting nervous at what it might mean, was probably the best player in the 5 home winning run at end of last season.

I could see him getting another 12 months.

I love him. A short term deal works. If his body hasn't broken down yet, I can see a couple more decent years in him. Just hope he doesn't block the development of others. That is my only complaint.
