Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Gordon was always sold too cheaply in my opinion. You could see the potential he had. He was practically given away
Spectacular revisionism there. He was crap for us; his decision making was woeful and his value was only heading one way if he stayed. I’ll die on the hill that the AG transfer was one of those that worked out perfectly for all parties concerned. We got a great price at the time, he got to play for a club whose tactics don’t make the fans’ eyes bleed on the regular and they got a player who has appreciated in value and ability pretty sharply.

We appear to be doing an “Everton “ in this window. How many times are we going to let the window get to its final stages before we decide who it is we want. Once again we have let the clock wind down to the stage where clubs don’t want to lose players as they have no time to replace them or we look desperate and are willing to pay over the odds or buy rubbish. Surely we need to start learning lessons.

I'm all in now on a well structured deal for Ferguson with big portion of fee being add ons based on appearances/fitness etc. to reduce risk.
Couple of foreign or replacement (Chelsea/Lyon) loan deals would be good for pacey winger and left back.
Anything less than this I will be disappointed....... 🫣bring on the disappointment😭

Feels for me like there will be like 2 last 2nd transfers like with Broja and Mangala, a bit devastating, as 90% of the rumors we might get.
