Genuinely starting to think we’ll go with what we’ve got tbh. This is TFG’s first chance to show us what they’re all about and maybe even pleasantly surprise us. So far though it’s just more of the same.
No point adding to the team if we can't better it though. None of the names we have been linked with excite me at all. I think moyes will get in a striker on loan for cover on deadline day and that may be all.

Last striker Brighton let come this way was Maupay - makes me very suspicious that they aren't too bothered about Ferguson leaving..
To be fair Maupay had absolutely nothing going for him. He was undersized, smelly, slow and wasn't even really much of a goalscoring threat at Brighton. There was a reason he became third string striker. I and many others are still convinced it may have been a money laundering scheme. Ferguson technically has height and a bit of potential. He has to fulfill it though.

We don't have to get a striker specifically (we should), but we definitely need a winger or someone pacy that can play across the front at the very least. You can get a mirallas type that can fill in up top or something similar, but we need something. Kev kind of leaving us bare again here potentially. I hope we have an idea and get someone in.

Problem with striker is you almost never get value. I would rather us get the right guy than a warm arse for the bench.
That's exactly what they did at west ham with Antonio after countless striker experiments failed

We may be forced to do similar at this rate. We can't really afford another Maupay or Beto. Get somebody that can hold the line first and affect the game. Dom is very hit and miss on that at this point and he is halfway out the door.

But you need to be fast on the break with a technical passer who can play ahead on the ground or lob it, also that tactic requires a winger with some physicality or he's going to be useless as when Gordon started as striker

Agreed and we still need pace so would give us options

I would think we would be looking more towards a ball player than an out and out runner like Gordon.

Ndiaye might end up being our back up striker at this point he has played there in his career but would have to play into his feet also who plays left... we are so thin

He could theoretically work there but it depends if he can deal with the bullying. Part of the battle is its a mental game. If you could get it to work though, he could be decently effective just by causing havoc with the back line. Not many players better in isolation
