His first loan spell he got 5 goals in 13, his second, i think his attitude with a falling out with Moyes didn't helpAt what?

Well yeah dom went games without scoring because for most of those games hes knocking on balls and trying to get on his own ball cause there was no-one else there, lets not forget before we say he offered no goal threat that our tactics meant everton as a whole offer no goal threat. I think beto would of got more of a run if he'd stop needlessly throwing people down and giving away fouls all the time. Like in the 18 months beto he has been here, has shown glimpes of good stuff but sadly the bad stuff outweighs it. Yeah he won the penalty for us but for most of the game he did nothing apart from whining (rightly so) about all the misplaced passes and stuff. Did he even have a shot on target in 77 mins? How does Beto go longer without scoring and how can you argue he has had a run of games?
DCL has had 19 starts this season, Beto has had 1! Last season DCL had 26 starts, Beto had 9.
Lewin went 18 games last season without scoring, the majority of them games he started and played well over 70 mins, and this season he's gone 16 games without a goal, again starting nearly all of them games and playing over 70 mins.
Last season the longest Beto went was 11 games and that was being a sub for nearly all of it, getting 10-20 mins most of the time. He's now not scored for 9 PL games but been given 15 mins here and there.
Dyche managed it very badly, persisting with Lewin when he was offering no goal threat game after game. He's obviously a far better hold up striker than Beto but when a Striker is providing no goals you have to try something different. We saw on Saturday that Beto, whilst needing to improve drastically (which may come from being given a run of starts) can cause problems for the opposition leading to goals for us. Helped win us the penalty and also scored against Peterborough with a goal that DCL would have hit straight at the keeper.
If Beto doesn't go then our transfer pot is substantially worse. Pay buttons get monkeys.Tuttosport reckon negotiations started up again with Torino on Sunday as Moyes doesn’t figure Beto in his plans. Don’t know how reliable they are (probably not at all) Can’t see Moyes getting rid and then getting another striker as we’d still have no real back up if the new one got injured
That source is worse than any.Tuttosport reckon negotiations started up again with Torino on Sunday as Moyes doesn’t figure Beto in his plans. I read four says DM just does not rate Beto & want him gone for the correct fee... but now DCL is out its a bit tight to move him on unless he gets 2 strikers in ASAP?That source is worse than any.
It's fair to say Dyche offered no goal threat and judging both strikers on goals under him is pointlessHow does Beto go longer without scoring and how can you argue he has had a run of games?

Beto headed one back lay off backwards v Brighton, a defending CH would have been proud of that clearance - his strenghs are balls over the top with his arms waving like windmillsIt's fair to say Dyche offered no goal threat and judging both strikers on goals under him is pointless
It's the other factors like how often the ball bounces back to the opposition when Beto is playing v Dom and did the defence get any relief against good sides when Beto is playing? I'd say not much
Might be Beto does well under Moyes now, pretty sure Moyes won't do the same thing over and over when Beto can't do it. We might see more balls in behind etc. We have to see it because everything else is pointless
At what?
Did he take himself off to Brazil in the middle of the season? His first loan spell he got 5 goals in 13, his second, i think his attitude with a falling out with Moyes didn't help
Those two were rubbish, but they were only short term loans weren't they? Looks like we wont have the luxury of taking a chance on a loan striker for half a season this time and we'll have to buy one. If that's the case, I'd rather Moyes make the choice than Thelwell. Last thing we need is to spend £10-20m on another donkey we're stuck with.Think Moyes has had worse strikers he actually brought into our club to work with.
Straq attack and Jo spring to mind.
So you're saying he's powered by clean energy, off-sets our carbon footprint, AND does a mean Phoebe Buffay jogging in the park impression all at the same time?!? That's one way to make a contribution I guess...Beto headed one back lay off backwards v Brighton, a defending CH would have been proud of that clearance - his strenghs are balls over the top with his arms waving like windmills![]()
Well would you rather a clumsy Beto helping to win a Penalty and get us a 1-0 win vs a decent Brighton side or a DCL holding up the ball well most weeks but failing to score and missing some sitters and us losing or getting a 0-0?It's fair to say Dyche offered no goal threat and judging both strikers on goals under him is pointless
