New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

They will surely have done risk assessments about all of the fans walking up and down Regent Road and Waterloo Road, right?

I’d think such roads would need to be closed on match day, and I think we will need a bit more than a no entry sign like you have on Gwladys Street on match day.

I’m sorry, but we are going to need Peace Barriers for this stretch of road and any of the other roads accessing it. A no entry sign will not suffice.
FFS, this place is going to be tougher than Studio 54 to get into.

I've had money taken out of my account now and no email, or tickets in my history. I have no idea whether this is a re-ballot or test event 2. Or, I suppose neither is still an option... 🤣

I've had two emails saying I've got my two tickets - was told it'd be a part of my village street membership - but haven't as yet had anyone contact me for payment. That said I'm not sure if money has been automatically taken out or if I registered a card/payment mechanism.

Anyway I did phone the box office and they were lovely and relaxed. Saying if you've had the email you're in and it's just a backlog of how busy they are with new season tickets etc.

Saying all that I'm worried the game may be postponed given the state of the pitch and the weather at the moment. No way will they risk the pitch at this stage. Personally I'm happy to wait a few more weeks having already waited 40 yrs for a new stadium!

United are getting serious investment for the surrounding infrastructure by old Trafford to potentially get a 100k stadium.

Feel like we missed the boat on this with having Rotherham as the metro mayor as opposed to who he wants to be, Andy Burnham.

Where are the freight trains going to go though?

I'm hearing that they will soon be naming various areas and facilities of the stadium to reflect the club's history and tradition. They start on Monday with the Uncle Cyril's Bicycle Shed installation by the dock wall.
I'm looking forward to the 'How Far Can You Throw a Blue Cushion' installation in one of the stands.

Anyone able to do a full translation of that?

Only bits I could pick up were something about 45mins to walk from town, obstructed views and something about getting wet when it rains.
Was a bit about the dangers of wind turbines and how once past the wall everyone will be butchered. The laughed heartily when they mentioned the wall.
