Saw that mentioned mate earlier but as I posted up I'm pretty certain that only applies to the club loaning him out on the restrictions on numbers not anyone loaning him in.

We do have options mind, first is just give Chelsea what they want to take Broja back, the other being to pay leads a few to take Harrison back early and agree to cover his wages as per the initial loan. (Second I don't see happening though now with McNeil needing surgery sadly)
Yeah I don't really see any exception in the PL rules for u21 players. I think there might be a u21 exception in the FIFA rules but that would only allow an international loan in.

Well I’m guessing he’s concerned we spend our January budget on an attacker to come in and hit the ground running and then they can’t adapt and it’s a complete waste?

Tbh in our situation I tend to agree with him, can take a slight risk on a younger player say whose from this league, but doing so on a young lad whose gonna have to adapt mid season on the fly seems just like taking way too big a risk currently.

Well no?

If you have two weeks to do some business and they can’t do it all in that time then prioritise. Seems pretty logical to me.
If anyone managing this club doesn't see the FB berth as a priority they should be nowhere near us.

It's flim flam.

Expectations are being massaged down to precisely f.a.

We all know it.

Anyone fancy an argument?

I would hope that the DOF and the manager would work together to decide on the players needed rather than it being the sole responsibility of one or the other.

I expect Sean Dyche and KT had agreed a list of players they could both agree on.

A new manager in David Moyes, a team playing in a different way and maybe the new manager looking for players who have different strengths.
I expect the DOF and DM sat down and looked at the list KT was working on. David Moyes may have added players to the list and maybe taken players off the list.
I expect this would be with the agreement of both men.

Having done this we now have to try to prise these players away from their clubs during the difficult January market with limited funds.
Given, that our new sensible policy seems to be paying fees only for good young players rather that expensive well paid older players then itis hardly surprising our purchases, if any, will be late in the window.

After McNeils injury news today, for me the priorities change slightly, most important spot now is an attacking midfielder by a country mile, McNeil have us the option to switch Ndiaye there or to play there himself, that's now gone up on smoke.

Next priority is a striker - again McNeils injury means Ndiaye is gonna have to stay out left, not even the option of using him as a false 9 or what not now.

If McNeil looks out to the end of the season or thereabouts, we need to be bringing in more than a couple.

Moyes words are alarming in that respect.

Although we just beat Spurs we shouldn't lose sight of the fact we need all of our players to remain for and we need better quality players in. That test against a very weakened Spurs outfit was not a sufficient stress test that could suggest we'll be fine.
