It’s Moyes dithering not kev innit?

Assuming kev had players in mind and davey wants others

….seems clear to me, Moyes didn’t want the players we were targetting. He’s taken a couple of games and a few weeks training to determine transfer requirements. The recruiting team will be looking at names that fit his acceptance criteria, be it injury records, physicality (speed), quality in possession etc.

I expect there’s plenty of enquiries being made but we’ve started afresh with Moyes now running the show.

Exactly how I see it

Madness to expect him to come in, assess the squad, assess them in actual games and agree targets with kev in a few days. Would only end in more tears if rushed

Yeah seems so and the sensible thing to do, Moyes will still be assessing the squad.

The next two games might determine what we do, 4-6 points and we'll be in quite a different position.

What could possibly be difficult about signing multi million pound contracts in a very competitive market while trying to satisfy the interests of the player, their family and the agent; while trying to balance a wage/budget to comply with uncertain PSR rules.

I can foresee a situation where Chelsea will let us send Broja back, only if we take another player of there’s on loan.

They have us over a barrel with our trousers down as usual.

But isn't that simply rehabbing him and giving him experience so that Brighton can benefit long term?

not necessarily, if he's in full training he's done his rehab and he's fit to play

we need goals and firepower to stay up which we could provide, there's not many other strikers available, ideally we want players that are going to benefit us long term, but we also need to focus on staying up

it could also be the case if he came here and did well and enjoyed it, they may allow another one year loan, or they could be happy with their options and sanction a deal, it's not like Brighton are mean over keeping old of thier talent. they've let plenty go over the years and are always finding new players

Yup but you're looking at a player who if he did well here would have an evaluation of 60m+ attached to him.

Also not sure if the best use of a y kisn we had would be in a player returning from a long term injury who has had a huge amount of rumours about his personal life being 'a bit Barkley'

depends if there is an agreed fee attached. Either way if he comes in and score goals that keeps us safe then its worth doing obviously.

Do people really want a young striker from Brighton on loan? I would be interested in a permanent deal but a loan for a player who can't get in a mid table team and then sending him back in the summer?
That would be a huge waste of time and embarrassing, we have to stop with the stop gap squad fillers, get players better than what we have and that have a future at the club.
