Everton January 2025 Transfer Thread

Apparently we went after this lad. Maybe we are going for targets out of the media.

Also could be a sign this window after a few more players in that age range
I’m glad we can actually pick up transfers in January without PSR looming over us. Not sure who everyone expects we can get. We’ll get a few players but likely not real sexy pick ups. I think people log in here every day expecting to see ‘recently binned Bellingham and Vinicius transfer free of charge to Everton after begging to be set free. In addition, dissatisfied Haaland and Salah paid out of their own pockets to be released from their clubs in order to boost Everton in the January transfer window.’
just frustration from me after previous transfer windows and leaving us short. And well having been let down by the club and left short,

Would you prefer Diarra or Chukwuemeka?

Dan Neil DM/CM Diarra CM/ACM

Depends on the price, Diarra is a year younger and more experienced, no injury history, Chuckamucka has had a fair few serious injuries but looks a prodigious talent and is English so no chance of not settling or adjusting.

Diarra for 20m compared to 40m for Chuck is a massive difference though also.

Neil my brother really likes, I'm not sure he's much of a different level to Garner though.

Given this apparently is your first transfer window in the sure you seem to have jumped to a bit of a conclusion there.

Not seeing anyone besides a couple throw ridiculous names in the mix at all.

Neil holding with Garner and Tim in front is something we could work towards.

I believe Garner has a lot more to offer offensively than what we’ve seen, would be a solid box to box option when fit.

Why do people think signing 10 players is impossible? We signed 8 players last summer, with almost zero budget.
And, unless we give new contracts to some really dreadful players we're going to have to sign a sizeable number just to have a squad. I imagine we'll be using up all of our loan slots again.

Looking forward to an exciting Transfer Deadline Day at this rate. Maybe Moyes has seen enough to survive without buying now...
Na. If you watch his Spurs post-match presser he's asked the question whether he's had a rethink on if we need new bodies this month after all and he very firmly pushed back on it. He's very much wanting & expecting signings in this window regardless.

I wonder if the Dan Neil links are accurate. I'm of the belief that if you are going to get depth, get it on the wings and in the central midfielder. Wingers can play all across the front line and wing back. Central midfielders can fill in all across the center and on the wings in a pinch. It's a safeguard for injuries. Not the worst idea for a squad turnover, but I would hope Danny is pretty good if Moyes is after him.
