2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Really don’t know what there is to debate any more.

It’s been the same players for the last 2 games, now they are basically coming out and saying they have enjoyed playing football this week.

Any fans of Dyche, go watch his teams wherever he rocks up next. I’m sure it will be a treat for you.

Hi mate, any idea how these players were able to press high, get players around Calvert Lewin and play joined up football especially after Seanie said he couldn’t possibly get any more from them? How come only Michael Keane has expressed his gratitude to him and the rest of them have expressed thinly veiled criticism of the way he managed? Can you ask your bestie next time you go for a drink please (I assume Dyche drinks mead and none of that modern muck)?

#thankyouchico

Nuts and bolts.
They were playing an injury ravaged Spurs team made up of their U21s pal.

I'm glad the majority of Evertonians respect the job Dyche did.

As I often shared, I think Everton history will be very kind to Dyche.

He'll be remembered as the guy who come in here;

.... most had wrote us off. Our lowest ever points total 20 games in. 11 defeats in 14. The fixture list coming up. It's the only time I felt we were down. He kept up. He navigated us through the circus caused by Moshiri and incompetent, self preservation board. A board who sought to damage the club for their own benefit.

If someone would have said he'd come in, keep us up, every window we'd have to make a good transfer profit, and the following season he'd keep us up despite deductions - we'd have all snapped hands off.

Sure, wheels come off this season. It happens in football, pretty much every manager ends up sacked. Or disliked for engineering a move.

But he left with us a couple of weeks into new owners, and us sat 16th with a transfer window. Previous managers like Lampard and Silva left with us in the relegation zone. He left us in a better place than when he started - how many managers can we say that about? This summer is a genuine chance of a massive rebuild, and Dyche has been massive in ensuring that opportunity.

So yeah, I'm glad the majority respect the job he did. Provided he doesn't start making silly comments, which I doubt he will given we'll be the biggest job he ever has, then over time people will remember him keeping our heads above water when the club, and Premier League seemed hell bent on relegating us.

How many of their U21s started the game pal?

Bergvall? Who cost them a fee more than DCL, Lindstrom, Mangala, Gana, Tarks, Branthwaite cost us combined?

Gray? Who cost them a fee more than any individual player cost us on our team?

They weren’t signed as U21 players. They were signed as first team squad.

I think it's pertinent to note a couple of facts about his dismissal, that would be 3 wins all season heading into the second half of the season, that's not good and not scored in 9 games out of his last 11. That's why he was sacked, nothing nefarious.

Not a single poster doesn't thank him for keeping us up last 2 seasons, especially last year under incredible pressure and trying circumstances.

This season, the season we are judging him on, isn't anywhere near good enough and he looked defeated.

I wanted him to resign, he only half did and tried to wring as much money out of us as he could for his abject failure.

Pal you watched the game? That wasn’t Spurs first team, sage for a sprinkling of recognised faces. They’re ravaged, Everton weren’t playing a competitive team.

Now I know you’re all wanting to crown your Moyesiah but come now let reasoned opinion prevail you big crazies.

Very good post, important to frame his time here. He kept us up with a point deduction which is significant, also dealing with no funds.

Yeah they have some injuries, but they are all still players in their first team squad. Valued a lot higher than our starting 11.

They weren’t playing unknowns who have just come out of the academy like we end up doing when we have an injury crisis.

Some just can’t let him go. It’s as if they’ve positioned themselves into a corner of performative rage and Dyche as their voodoo doll.

Not levelling that at anyone here of course. But crikey these super bloos sure are the MAGA of Evertonians.

There’s only a couple of bores I can see not letting this go.

Pal they played a reserve team. Look at their injury list. I have kecks older than some of their players.

It was pretty much their reserves;

But the bold is a good point. They're bringing on £50m+ Richarlison etc.

I made it a few times this season. Our total squad cost in terms of transfer fees is 19th in the league. Only Ipswich is less, and I think Philogene took them above us. And that's taking fees we haven't spent (like Mangala/Broja/Harrison last transfer fees).

We were getting beat against Bournemouth and I'm thinking "these have 2 players who cost more than we spent on our match day squad".

We have to start genuinely investing in the team - we need 2 or 3 years of transfer fees like Bournemouth/Forest/West Ham have spent over the years.
