loved that performance in the main, felt like I was watching a different sport compared to what we’ve had previously.

Absolutely great for 70 mins, then legs go and the usual head loss starts, poor goals to concede but huge improvement on whatever Dyche was doing, and I trust Moyes to keep the attacking threat whilst tightening us up further.

Collective pressing as a unit, faster progressive on the deck passes and fullbacks and midfield getting near to the cf - simple game really isn’t it.

Nice to have quite a few contenders for motm - DCL looked interested with support, lindstrom caused them all sorts with his delivery, ndiaye is a joy to watch, and is much more effective when he’s supported higher up centrally, but still did his defensive work, obrien looked as comfy as I’ve seen a cb, quite branthwaite-like but I went for idrissa - he covered every inch of Goodison, made some great tackles and cleaned up messes, pressed like his life depended on it and then als played some lovley progressive through balls on the deck - he drove us on to win the game imo, was everywhere.

Fair play davey, mad what a real manager can do isn’t it. Same again against Leicester and it’s a really good, positive start.

Would like to see Patterson, Beto and Harrison Armstrong in this system/shape - think they have something to offer until the other injuries clear up.

Enjoy toffees, nice to win a game of footy.

Ps - Kev the red - rescue Richy from his yid hell please, ta!

Spoilt for choice on MotM today - which is a rarity this season so far!
DCL goal was incredible and he won so many headers, N'Diaye goal out of a movie, runnning from the halfway line with the ball, he is special
Gana was everywhere - he is not 36??
However I have to go for Lindstrom who not only delivered consistent passes into the box but defended tirelesly. He has had his poor games for us but I think Moist likes him and he certainly brings an extra dimension to our game when he is 'on'.
One last comment though

'Koff Dyche!!!

Totally agree. We were never going to draw our way away from relegation.

To produce an attacking display like that you are bound to leave yourself a bit open.

Moyes just needs more time to work with them.
Ironically, it's when we bought on a defenders to try and close it out that they scored. I don't think they were bad subs, but it probably had the opposite effect what moyes was looking for.

Really glad to get a win and glad to see some attacking intent. There are pieces there for Moyes to work with, and hopefully an addition or two to bolster us and we'll be in a much better position.

Moyes doesn't do attacking subs when we're leading.

See 12 years away hasn't changed that. I knew we'd be under the cosh as soon as he started making subs. Same as it ever was.
Here we go, someone looking for any reason to have a go. I must have missed all thise experienced attackers in the bench.

Thought was on the wrong channel watching Ronaldinho possessed DCL did the impossible samba footie dance for that wonder goal. That was not the DCL that we knew.

Equally was impressed with Jake on the right, cutting out crosses and defended stoutly. His huge physical presence is definitely a deterrent for winger

Last but not least, Lindstrom had a hack of a game. His continuous charging down the right with Ndiaye on the opposite created chances for our front line and relieved the pressure from our back line. His set pieces also were getting better too

All in all, a convincing first half and a somewhat shaky ending that stressed the importance of getting like for like sub to Lindstrom and Ndiaye

Just got back from the game. Players pressing, players in and around Lewin when he was knocking balls down, attacking in numbers, I thought these players didn’t have it in them to perform like that? Just shows what a better manager can do.
Really good performance today and Moyes had us purring in that first half. What I would say is to wait for a better idea of where we are when we play the bottom half sides who sit back and won’t give us as much space as Spurs did. Really hope Moyes can find a way of cracking that for us
