To be fair, we haven’t fielded an entirely healthy side all season. First it was Branthwaite. Tarks had some issues early on. If Moyes has available a fit Branners, McNeil, Garner, Tim, and Chermitti and he moves Ndiaye more central and plays maybe a 3-5-2 or something like that, I’d have to believe the results will start to quickly improve.

You have good salesman and bad ones...the good ones will see you the vision independently of the manager. Rarely listen to any interviews from thelwell, but the few times I have, it sounds deluded. Perhaps the owners believe in his narrative, but I don't. Not that long ago he was praising himself for the work he has done with the youth team...our youth team must be the worst it has ever be, with very little prospects of any player making it to the first team.
Not many youths make the full grade at any club.
We are no different.

We've had prospects like Ellis Simms & Tom Cannon come through and sold for decent money .
Now we have Harrison Armstrong , Stanley Mills & Roman Dixon that are showing promise, so it's definitely been worthwhile.

One word ...

DYCHE

Can somebody please explain why Everton pay £17m for Mykolenko and £28m for Beto, while Bournemouth can get Kerkez for £15m and Kluivert for £8m.
Myko was pretty highly rated,
his wages were less than digne,

He's more defensively minded and apparently pretty easy going/doesn't kick up a fuss, which suited the fsw...

Psr allowed us to split that fee at just over 3.5 mill a year..

Beto, everyone knew we needed a striker which put a premium on him (see tosun)
Again, psr inflated the fee but allowed us to split it over his contract. Which with nothing up front worked out financially...
There's a useful player in there, never going to be a 20 a season player but playing to his strengths there's a 10-15 player in there

With Mykolenko, they knew we were selling Digne and had money coming in, he was highly rated at the time.

Beto had scored 22 goals in 65 games in Italian football, he’s basically a 1 in 3 striker, that kind of player is always going to be that kind of money, or even more, plus we got him for no fee in the first year.

Kerkez was a relative unknown and Kluivert was judged to have “flopped” in Italy
