2024/25 David Moyes

I understand the logic of moving Moyes upstairs considering some of his qualities, only reservation i would have is he’s always believed there’s a ceiling on what his plucky little Everton can EVER achieve. I want people that want to get us back to the very top
I don’t think that would be the case if he was moved up. I think he’d be putting the pressure on the manager to do more.

But first he’s got to get us safe, improve performances across the squad, clear out the dead wood, bring in some genuine talent, develop the flow of players from the academy to the first team, and improve the pies.

A lot could go wrong between here and DoF,

Maybe the case. Im not sure but Im very worried about this team, need a left back and a striker minimum.
I think Young has been good this season and if Myko doesnt improve in the next few games, put him there.
To me Myko looks like a player who has lost all his confidence.
There's definitely a better player in there.
He looks like he isnt coached. With the exception of 'dont cross the half way line unless absolutely necessary'.
I think Moyes and his team may be able to get more out of Myko and Ndiaye, at least coach them on how to better link up on the wing.

Striker is a real issue tho and I don't see much changing in that department. Maybe Broja goes back to Chelsea but neither Thelwell nor Moyes seem to be able to source a decent striker.

He is very often high up the pitch. He's just very negative on the ball in attacking positions.

He needs to show a bit of ambition with the ball rather than the safe backward diagonal to whoever is inside him. And Ndiaye needs to learn to do something with the ball a little more rather than just going past people 3 times then doing nothing with it.

Transform... wonder what sunderland fans might think... i know its not quiet the same, but i imagine they may be underwhelmed with him.

I kmow he has history here, but lets not get the bunting out just yet.

West ham... ffs
I mean, in my life time (33 years), apart from the Moyes decade, we have been bottom half scrappers. Pretty much the same as West Ham, who in the Moyes era for them, won a European cup etc.

While we have a much better history, anyone under 35 doesn’t really know any difference.

Yup. And I reckon they are both issues that can be fixed.
Myko definitely looks scared to make a mistake and is not playing on instinct.
I've also noticed Ndiaye passing or losing the ball and just strolling about with no urgency off the ball.
Ndiaye is very similar to Pienaar but missing the hard work aspect of his game.
These are issues I think Moyes may well be able to help with.

I cant believe he's described his first time here as 'successful'.

That underlines what we always knew about him: he just doesn't get Everton.

Winning zero trophies is not success. It might be to him but it isn't to Evertonians.

No matter how many times we hear the old 'Oh Davie Moyes' song this season (hopefully a lot as it'll mean we're doing ok), this feller will never ever be one of us. He's inauthentic and always will be. An outsider who will remain an outsider.

Anyone else bit surprised that an interview hasn't been uploaded yet? perhaps an indication that he's simply wanted to just get straight to work..
I don't particularly want to hear one you know.

Especially those completely brain dead, minding numbingly boring questions that the little burk asks everyone In every interview.

"Hi David, welcome back, what's it like to be back at Everton" blah blah blah.

You're a proper ballsack.
