You must be kidding.

I backed Moyes to the hilt until he started slagging fans off over the treatment of Kenwright. Then he compounded it with his remarks at United.

He shall remain an enemy of this club in my eyes until he's retired and out the way.

Hopefully they Ranieri him and lash him in recruitment come June.

Reports claimed TFG had a target who was currently in a job. You'd hope that person remains the objective/plan, rather than persisting with Moyes.

Just paraphrasing what you said less than a week ago when you wanted us all to get behind Dyche mate.

But if you feel happy deflecting from your disloyalty, be my guest…

How many times have I said that I cant do anything else than get behind him. Our survival depends upon it.

If you think that means he gets a blank cheque to drive us into the relegation zone without criticism you can think again.

Moyes is here, but we need a Plan B to move onto if he needs to be sacked.

But you keep saying you support the club not Moyes so are you behind him?

I cant see how these owners retain credibility handing Moyes 2 more years if we stay up.

I said last night I hope this is a ruse for the players to believe he's here long term and they need to apply themselves (those remaining at least).

That was a big issue with Dyche - that he couldn't carry that big stick.

We'll bring in some pace and be sound mate.

We failed to recruit what we needed in the summer. Always felt head above water 17th+ until new owners, and January window - bring in some legs who can transition defence to attack and we'll be ok.

We can't get any worse and we're 1-3 points clear and a game in hand of 3 teams. We just have to not do any worse than 2 of 3 very bad teams.

Signing an actual right winger will do wonders for balance/everything. Having just 1 more player than NDiaye who can ball carry/progress play will allow us to be more fluid.

Hopefully Moyes has only come here with that assurance on players to come in. But the thing with Moyes is he's hands on and he'll take weeks to bring a player in. He's not exactly dynamic in that respect, so I'd expect just one maybe two in.

…..regardless of what posters think of the appointment surely everybody wants Moyes to do well because it means we’re staying up. I never understand what ‘get behind a manager’ means.

Ffs, I’d love Thelwell to start bringing in good footballers because it’s in our best interest but I still think he’s useless.

He doesn't even need to do well.

Just not terrible.

When we sacked Silva, Lampard we were 18th/19th. The bottom teams now are worse than then.

We can't get any worse. Surely.

Well recruit and be ok.

I want him to do well in the next few months. Then I want him gone.

I`ve not posted for a while on this... because I wasn`t really sure how I felt about it and what that meant for Everton Football Club.

OK it wasn`t the glamour or long term appointment we might have expected but it is a safe and more than able pair of hands.

Moyes will win more games than Dyche, that is more or less a given and I think we will get a response from the players to him, no doubt Bainesy and Coleman will have been telling the players about the Moyes Days previously and the players will have seen West Ham in Europe and at the top end of the Premier League, something Dyche could never point to because he was always at the bottom.

We need to get away from this "Get to the stadium as a PL club" mentality, I`ve no doubt Moyes will keep us up but the 1st season in the stadium I think we will be battling in the top 10, I believe he could have that impact PROVIDING THE RECRUIMENT IS RIGHT in this window and the summer. Just so everyone is clear what my opinion is, good recruitment under Moyes gets us top 10 and maybe higher, the same recruitment with Dyche gets us bottom 6 or 7.

Those debating "The way he left" need to give it a rest... Loads were having Barkley when he was available, we`ve had Benitez and people moaned but did nothing about it, Rooney came back and he famously kissed the Utd badge, Sammy Lee was in our dugout. I could go on....

Moyes has my backing till the time he demonstrates on the pitch that he can`t get results, let`s look further ahead though and look to be in Europe in the second season of the stadium rather than just getting there as a PL club. I think Moyes can achieve that...
Well I never…a bit of positivity. Well done you. Oh and I’m glad you cleared up the bit in bold mate, I’m sure I don’t speak for just myself, when I say I was worried about that all night 😄

By the way I generally agree with what you have said

I for one can’t wait for Moyes to clear out some of the squad.
There must be a few whose careers are also being held back by being at Everton, just like Fellani and Baines were.
Branthwaite, Ndaiye, maybe even Armstrong could be freed to go to Utd or City etc for the good of their career.
50% of their market value should do the job.

It's weekend and night in the USA. But there will come one tomorrow or Tuesday, or they'll do it together with the press conference, is it on Monday or Tuesday?
Villa press conference is Monday. Moyes is at Finch Farm for training today, so I imagine the club will fit in time to record an interview etc during a break.
