Interested to see that a lot of people who seemingly thought we were a top half team solely being held back by the manager now think that a safety net firefighter type is needed in order to not get relegated.
Don’t really think that’s the case. And is more reflective of how we are circling the relegation places half way through the season than fighting for top half that we need to now bring in a manager to keep us safe.

Also top half team is a bit misrepresentative of what people said at start of season. As most suggested at start of season mid table (ie around where we finished last season rather than specifically top half).

Not that it matters, but I'm conflicted and torn!

Safe pair of hands, yes, eye for talent, definitely, pragmatic, 100% but, as @GrandOldTeam stated, it's uninspiring, not very forward thinking, and actually a bit of same old Everton, which I believed we were gonna see the back of!

All I, and we want is to see us challenging, with a view to success, the club stable and profitable.

Can Moyes deliver that? I'm not sure.

It's a bit underwhelming in all honesty, that new dawn is seeable but still just out of reach, it seems.

Anyway, welcome back Moyes, let's see what you got.

Welcome back David Moyes, you young go-getter! We all know who Moysie needs to bring in to complete the dream team...

Welcome back, etc. etc. I got nothing against Moyes, but this just feels safe, even regressive. Mr. Moyes, please don't let our fate come down to the last game of the season...that's all I ask. And please don't get us relegated prior to that.
