….i have absolutely zero problem with him leaving for Man Utd when he had that opportunity. Football management is so fickle, had he stayed he’d probably never get such a chance again. It’s just so unimportant to me.

I`d say a lot of folks would be the same, but the way he left is what most would have a problem with. Did he really have to go test drive his new office at united while he was still manager with us?

Might be worth a (re)watch for some. Not too much Everton chatter but also talks about what he's been up to lately, his plans, views on DoF's etc. Good watch.

Honestly don't understand the hatred at all. He transformed the club single handedly after the dark days, gave 10yrs of service and left for arguably the biggest job in the world at the time after a decade of having his hands tied by Bill the buffoon. As if anyone else here wouldn't have done the same. Of course he would have tried to take his best players, it's a business. Literally all managers do it.

I'd wonder if they settle Coleman's contract up and shuffle him across to coaching and allow Baines to get on with producing more Armstrongs.

That'd be the wise move.

My prediction is we’ll amicably part ways after 18 months at the latest. 12 months if we happen to be in this position again this time next season, which I doubt.

Granted. Just for me it's partly killed the enthusiasm of the new stadium/new owners. I think I'd have preferred to stick with Dyche or better still Baines/Coleman then evaluate in the summer. I can never forgive Moyes for his attitude after he left us for Man U. Taints everything but even then the idea he's a specialist at fighting relegation is also for the birds.

Best Everton manager, pound for pound, in everyone under the age of about 35s lifetime, myself included. His consistency with us was incredible given he was working under Kenwright and often had zero money.

Carlo was a brief fever dream who was boss but can’t compare to Moyes’ consistency with us.
