What happens now if United bid for Branthwaite and we reject the bid. Then Amorim comes out and says “Everton are holding back the career of Branthwaite by not letting him join United”. Exactly what Moyes said re Fellaini and Baines when he tried to take them to United on the cheap. How would Moyes respond to that?

He'd tell them to do one and worry about players they have at their club, because unsurprisingly, managers at clubs sole focus is on the club they're are at. Nobody gets to this level in the sport by being sentimental. Do what you go to do, say what you gotta say.

It's not a glamorous appointment, but I don't think we would attract the sort that some seem to want at this stage. He's definitely better than a lot of the options available. Welcome back Moyes.

Who do we get in instead, in Jan with psr strangling us?

That's not my job, we a have a DOF and his team who must have known Dyche was going or at least made preparations.

We've gone back to a man who made a fool of himself at UTD and in Spain, took Sunderland down so badly they ended up in league because of the stupid contracts he had players on. He won the European version of the Simod cup, that's his record.

Once again Everton football Club take one step forward and two steps back.

Compared to our seasons before and after his tenure (Bobby's first season excepted), he is right.
Spoken like the ghost of Kenwright😁

Success to me (and many others on here) is winning stuff, we should not regard ourselves as ‘plucky little Everton’, otherwise just get rid of our motto and replace it with ‘we’ve had good times’!

He will do better than Dyche, but that’s an awfully low bar.

Feels like a huge missed opportunity to me, but he gets my support and I hope and pray he is successful, much more successful than his previous glorious 11 years in fact.

Underwhelming and predictable which is not something I was hoping to be saying about this new Everton and our new owners.

Sign some players and get us safe asap Moyes, take the handbrake off a little and be a little braver than you were last time please.

Drinking the tears of his haters...go on Moyies lad.

Typical backward thinking from the club which it continues to have a long term commitment to.

Kendall's returns were absolute failures and he was 1000 times the manager Moyes ever will be.

How anyone can be in anyway excited by him coming back is beyond me and that's before I get to the sneaky way he left in the first place.

My point is at least the manager must be seen to believe his own words even if others don’t, you can’t put a mask back on after every one has seen you without it.

The options just arent there right now because Dyche messed everything up. If you want to blame anybody blame him, he gave up, he didnt get the results so now TFG are forced to act and play a safe appointment in Moyes.
