2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

This is utterly mental, over a 0-0 draw, lauding hi my as some sort of messiah despite the reality being we've won 3 games all year with barely any goals scored.

Fair play like but if that's the standards you adhere too then we really have become a plucky little Everton. I personally don't think it is good enough and the style of play is absolutely atrocious with the remit "don't get beat" as opposed to try and win. It's cowards football and the fans deserve better.

Let's get the bunting out over a draw at home goalless once again.
Because If we play any other way we will get relegated. Our team is full of championship level players. We barely score goals because we have a gang of donkeys up the top of the pitch. Just look at Harrison’s opportunity today, and it’s the same every single week.

Two excellent results which you only get when your players are playing for you. My fear was the uncertainty and upheaval would lead to players getting distracted and the manager losing focus - but no. However, the problem, as always, is we follow these excellent well-organised backs-to-the-wall displays with less effective but similar performances against less exalted sides. Whatever happens at City, we need to be beating Forest at home.
If we had a striker capable of snapping up a half chance like others near the bottom have we'd have a few more wins.

Vardy does that at Leicester still.

Our forwards aren't of that nature and we've need one for years.

Lots of knee jerk support for Dyche just because he's got two draws in succession. Frankly it's pathetic. The problem is the guy sets us up not to lose for every game we play. So he gets a point away at Arsenal, big deal, he'll also gets us defeats and draws against bog average teams like Brentford and Southampton. He's the epitome of second rate and isn't fit to manage the club.
Not really, I always edge towards / in the Dyche out camp, but why would anyone criticise the points haul from two of the toughest games you can have at this moment in time, in the league? That would be completely stupid and pointless. There will be plenty of games, where we approach lesser teams with the same approach, and plenty of time to criticise in future. It’s called timing.

Credit where it’s due, that’s a well earned point against a very good side! And we could have won it…

Still 5 points off relegation though & Wolves looking like they’ve turned a corner, we need a fully fit squad & 2-3 good signings in Jan.

…and hopefully a new manager capable of coaching a winning mentality.

All the best guys. Happy holidays, can really feel the vibe in here tonight.

I’ve said it before mate, he’s tactically inept and he will be gone at the end of the season, that’s why I don’t get wound up by Dyche anymore.

Dyche knows and a few are starting to realise, this side is so fragile (and has been for a long time) that once a goal down, heads drop and the mistakes creep in as the confidence goes the other way. When it's a game we're in there's more cohesive effort, when we're chasing the body language across the lot tells a tale of 'this is hard work'.

There is so little belief in goals now, that even when in clear on goal the doubts are on whichever players back instantly. There is an expectation they'll fail, instead of a 'just get the bleeder on target!' type attitude.

We've been left with a collection of players that lean more pessimistically than optimistically. It's taken a hell of an effort to end up stuck down this cul-de-sac.

Exactly don’t think this is realised enough we are in this position for a reason our group of players aren’t good enough. When you look at all the teams ahead of us every single one of them have squads a lot better and deeper then ours. We need serious investment in all areas of the pitch just to be a solid mid table side never mind pushing for Europe the Prem is a very strong league now, stronger than it was 5-10 years ago.

This is absolute nonsense. The bottom half of the PL is much weaker than it was 5-10 years ago. PSR and the income that the top 5 or 6 teams have has massively weakened the bottom half of the league (realistically the bottom 14 clubs, with maybe the exception of the barcodes and their petrodollars).

I don’t agree if you look at 14th onwards every one of those has very strong deep sides with lots of quality, finishing above them would require lots of investment.
