What stats from today support us outplaying Chelsea?

When we watch the european games and see an Italian side take a clean sheet its a defensive masterclass.

People say Postecoglu's brand of football at Spurs is great.

What we witnessed today and against Arsenal were fabulous team efforts against teams that have spent enormous amounts of money and our game was to DEFEND and keep a CLEAN SHEET.

To that end we 'outplayed' them from a defensive standpoint -- whether or not 'outplayed' is the correct word...

...our objective was successful and theirs was failure.

well no zat an objective is to win football games

I’m completely on the side of Dyche not having done a good job this year - I think generally we have stalled or worse still regressed but today and last week is not the time to moan about - there will be plenty of games this season where moaning wk be justified

A 0:0 against Chelsea, one of the currently best teams in Europe should be consider differently than a 0:0 against Brentford with one half 11vs10 superiority is something I don't accept.

At ensuring a relegation battle yes. Wolves should never have been in the position they're in and they'll correct that now as we're already seeing. Goals simply have to come or we will be going down to the last few games again.

If Cunha is out for any length of time theyre doomed mate.

Today they played Leicester who are imploding.

I agree with your sentiment but disagree in part because of our ineffective attackers.

We cant go toe to toe with most teams.

Yet.

I think we may have an outbreak of Geordieitis on the forum. Can everyone take preventative measures please, and merry Christmas.

I think Palmer read your report...flopped today after seeing how ugly he looked in a spoons reflection.

Not reading a single word of this.

Usually though it’s a masterclass because they score at the other end

Thanks for confirming, your objective is to 'not lose'.

Traditionally Everton was a club with an objective 'to win'.

Dyche out.

Wolves are terrible. They just hired a guy who changes jobs more than he changes his boxers. One result against an even worse Leicester doesn’t change that.

Interesting that we’ve consistently been told these players are crap and can’t play football, yet today we’ve played some decent stuff at times and created a few decent chances.
With a manager who we've consistently been told doesn't train to play *any* decent stuff and isn't interested in creating chances. Peculiar isn't it?

There were no passages of play today that were one-offs that we haven't already seen. The inability to finish, or bad luck in those moments, and the breakdown of promising moves due to bad decisions was as constant today as it has been for a good while Wolves apart.
