2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

If this is true then Sean Dyche definitely didn’t put us there. People are acting like he took over a team that was in the top 6. 19th place, one of the weakest squads in the league, 6 managers fired in the preceding 6 or 7 years.

No one is happy the club is in this situation, they’re pleased we got a point today against a very good team that moves us one point further away from the relegation places. They are not the same thing.

Yes he did a good job saving us from relegation, absolutely 100%.

But he's so limited that this is the best he can do.

Boring, negative and percentage football.

0-0 results at home must be celebrated.

Haha come on, really?!

And 3 goals absolutely shocking.

You know if we’d played this way from the first game of the season, as painful as it might have been we’d probably have about 3 or 4 extra points now and would probably be looking at needing about 12 points from 22 games to be safe.

Instead we opened up, had CBs on the halfway line v Brighton, went hammering on the door for a third v Bournemouth, and put ourselves as lambs for the slaughter at Spurs.

One of the things that has annoyed me about Dyche this season is bowing to ridiculous outside pressures to play a different way when if he’d just carried on from what had worked last season the relegation thread would be half the size it is

We are the new Burnley of the premier league, I don't know why some people on here are so happy about that.

Oh it 'could have been worse' seems to be the only rebuttal.

Just hope our new owners are not so defeatist!
They’re objectively better than us in at least 9 positions and we created as many chances as they did.

Overall we’ve been crap, but it was better today. You can say some are accepting mediocrity, I’d say you’re not accepting reality

Because this is how we will be set up against Forest and Ipswich and all the other teams in the bottom half.

They Dychettes will still be here though thinking this is 'good' and we were 'unlucky'.

It's disgusting football, completely limited possibilities playing this way.

Sure, we won't get relegated with him, but we sure as hell won't achieve anything positive.

But apparently we should all be happy to not be relegated, that's the level of expectations these days.
Maybe we should keep the fume for another day? It’s a good couple of points going into christmas without depression.

U need both the balance. Scoring goals doesn't help if you concede in defense, as well as not the other way round.

We need to upgrade on every level.

Same tactics against the better sides and high press against the rest.

Add some effective players with Xfactor and we climb.

Club has been in stagnation for like 2 decades and the only reason we are relevant is because we were poorly run and only in the news due to PSR and negative things. We just simply aren't relevant anymore.

You underestimate the brand outside of UK

You are not a football connoisseur, I am.

This was a good point. As was Arsenal.

It cannot be argued otherwise.

That performance was anything but negative, last week was. It was a point against a team that hasn’t lost a competitive game in nearly 2 months

Why do you keep saying people are celebrating? No one is. There’s no one left on here who wants him beyond the end of this season.

If you don’t want a bottom half limited manager then demand better from the board of your club than 30 years of a sell to loan/buy cheap policy, because whilst this continues you can have whatever flavour you like of delusional ideologue (Lampard) or boring pragmatist (Dyche)

Hopefully the Freidkins will finally change this, we can build a better squad and attract a better manager.

Won't have done himself any harm in Friedkins eyes the last couple of games. They won't make a change unless they have to surely, and these results reduce the likelihood of them thinking they have a decision to make.

That shouldn't mean that we can't seek to improve the squad in January though but the noises on that seem to have been positive in the week.
Problem is,
Who do you buy? Because the next manager won’t be a dyche type manager so we ain’t going to waste money on a trippier say.
And will dyche use players that he doesn’t want, heard the other day that Thelwell didn’t go after ndiaye to see him in the wing, he was bought as a number 10.
