2024/25 Sean Dyche - Sacked

Unpopular opinion but I'd keep Dyche until the summer, shake his hand and then go for someone like Thomas Frank.
Although our new owners are richer than Moshiri we're still subject to PSR so spending money on compensation is daft imo. A new manger won't be able to achieve much between now and the summer anyway.
I despise the football under Dyche but I wouldn't disagree if I thought it was a certainty that we will stay up even if Dyche remains in post.

I agree that it will be easier to recruit and integrate a new manager with hopefully a more progressive philosophy in the summer.

However I don't think it's anything close to being certain that we stay up with Dyche in charge so replacing him would be at the top of my to do list if I was Chairman Dan .

The Forest game and the matches early in the new year should determine if he stays until the summer or not. Obviously, he needs to show something against Chelsea and City too - but, barring hammerings, I don't see him losing his job for "expected defeats" there, even if I think he should really be looking to get something from both of those games. But we can't go through a January window and end the month deep in the mire with Dyche in place. We need as much assurance as we can get that we will not go down. If he can give us that over the coming two to three weeks, then fine. Summer it is. Otherwise, I hope these new guys have their homework done on a ready-made replacement.

Forest are another top 7 team mate, surely can’t judge him on that

He should stay. I understand that the football is dire but the upheaval of sacking him now and having a good long term successor isn't a good looking prospect. Out of contract in summer. Let it run it's course, say thanks and good luck then.

Yes and no. I agree but also disagree, a new manager would have 6 months to have a look at players and implement his tactics playing style, also potential of a transfer window unlikely we do much but still. And last of all I cannot put up with another 6 months of Dyches horrific play/tactics. But what you say does make sense

Have to give the new owners a chance, even if that means Dyche is here until May. As much as you may not like him, there is a very good argument that it's for the best if the club isn't too hasty, we get through the this season while the new people take their time to identify the right man to take us into the new stadium. It's okay if you disagree with that course of action, but just accept there is a logic to it and don't use it as a reason to immediately jump on the backs of the new owners.

Obviously we'd all prefer them to say here's this boss new manager with cash to spend in Jan, but just doubt that will happen.

Frank would be a great appointment. Adaptable manager capable of consistency over a long period... exactly what we need
