Which young player at Everton do you think failed to live up to their hype? Personally for me it would be Barkley recently. Any players that older blues could suggest?

In their time with Everton, or career in general?

As you could probs say Rodwell, Baxter, Vaughan maybe.

Rodwell. Didn’t improve one bit from when he was 17. Got worse if anything.

Boss Rarkley made the wrong move from Everton (but very good one financially) but luckily for him he's restored his reputation with a smart one back to Villa.

Rodders for me would be the one, but injuries killed it for him. Also moved to the wrong club from Everton where we was never going to play regularly.

Don't think any of our young English strikers ever looked like they'd make it with us, never mind at a better club, obviously Rooney aside.

Always thought Rodwell should have had a run at CB the position he grew up playing but it never happened

Barkley got worse and worse, seemed to become so indecisive

Always felt Besic had more to offer if he hadn’t have got that cruciate injury

Gosling could have had a better career

Moise Kean wasted everyone’s time

Could even be argued that Richarlison didn’t hit the heights we hoped when we bought him (good a player as he was for us)

Smith was fuming with Ball and Dunne after getting knocked out of a cup game. They've both had decent careers I reckon so not too bad.

Still guts me how it all went wrong for Billy.
