You look at how toothless we were yesterday and you know it's a sad reality that our attacking approach under Dyche is nothing more than hoping someone comes up with a little bit of magic. I bet nearly every other team in the league does more in training than us and it really shows.

The difference i find also with him and say Gary O'Neil, who btw had two of their best players in neto and kilman sold on him, is when wolves were losing O'Neil after match would say we're trying to play a certain way that i feel gets us wins long term but if it continues i will lose my job because of it.
In contrast look at Dyche. He blames the way the clubs run. The past. The fans expecting europe(lol).......
In the long term id rather have a coach/manager who wants to develop players and improve. Not the complete stagnate approach of Dyche.
Before a ball was kicked this season he was literally playing us down as being in a relegation fight. That way he sets his own narrative that he’s performed some sort of miracle if we finish outside the relegation places.

Pickford has bailed him out on numerous occasions since he has been back.
Go and have a look at the matches.
He has been turned inside out, struggled for pace, headers out of the box have been weak, and has lost his opposition attacking player.
Pickford has made the saves to keep the clean sheet.
You`ve only got to look at this thread to see that in action.

Completely agree with that sentiment expressed by O’Neill. Playing % (and low % football) ineffectively will never be a recipe for consistent results. The best football we have played in recent times was under Martinez in his first season. Lightning in a bottle it may have been but this also coincided with our best PL points haul ever. Playing the way Dyche does, in prioritising defensive shape, which slows transition, means we are only ever going to rely on the odd good footballing move and set peices. It is a matter of luck, more than coaching. I get the players are not great going forward but there has to be a sustained attempt to try and play that way a little more.
Branthwaite is rusty, and I can’t blame him.
But it’s not a concern. He’ll be up to speed soon enough.

Grim period to be a blue this, allardyce, Benitez, Dyche. It’s like a bad dream.
So far this season, we`d be three or four points worse off without Pickford pulling some absolute worldees out of nowhere.
He`s bailing the defence out most weeks.
