The squad is nothing special, but let's not pretend there isn't a manager in the bottom half who wouldn't have done better than 11 points 1/3 of the way through the season with what we have (or at least TRIED to do better, instead of playing for 0-0's every week and calling a point a great result).

A chimpanzee should be able to eclipse 2 wins from 12, never mind a bloke with about ten years "Prem management experience" the talking heads on TV tell us does a great job.
I don't disagree. Like I said, I want Dyche out. However, this is not a top half squad and different tactics won't make it a top half squad. We're riddled with poor players.

Crying on the phone in about only 4 minutes of added time at the 90 instead of about 9.

What are people seeing happening with a few extra minutes? We played utter crud today and we were lucky to get out with a point.

So so bad and so so sad. Goodison doesn't deserve to bow out like this.
Spot on. Like what was Dyche's "masterplan"? If we find ourselves a man up with 55 minutes to play, lull the opponent into a false sense of security by having zero attacking threat until the 98th minute, then blitz them 3-0 in sixty seconds?!? The man wouldn't even put a second striker on the pitch until the 70+ minute for fear of losing.

How many players did we need to be sent off by Brentford to allow us to win? I think if we played against 9 today it would still have been a draw.
They could have had 5 players and it wouldn't have made one iota of difference. We played for a 0-0 and got a 0-0. Another point on the board. Clean sheet. Job done. On to the next game in our quest for 38 points. It's the Sean Dyche way.

I can’t believe the easy ride Dyche gets from the media. The press were on Martin’s and O’Neill’s case after their poor start, but not Dyche’s. It’s as though the media want us to go down.

Ridiculous. The players aren't world beaters by any means, but the tactics (or lack there of) are the main cause.
There is no plan going forward except get it wide and put in a cross or hoof it from Pickford. Both "tactics" are incredibly low percentage for getting a goal. There is a reason no other team in this league or the two leagues below it play this way. It's an antiquated approach the the world figured out a decade and a half ago.
10000% spot on!!!! Imagine thinking a half decent coach like the teams around/above us half wouldn't have us higher up the league with a better points tally. Amazing how every other club can change/improve based on competent coaching but somehow we're special and magical and it would be impossible here.

Better performance but toothless in attack, they had better chances. We are in deep sh**e , unlike last season there doesn’t seem to be 3 worse teams, Southampton, maybe Ipswich and I think Palace and Wolves are in false positions. We need quite a few unexpected results in December

Who managed then last season? Hopefully not them because both had horror seasons.

I like NDiaye but Mykolenko behind him does him no favours and even when more central and in a team with Doucoure, Gana and co.

There's just not the ability in the final third to score the goals go keep us away from misery.

We have to spend big in January.
And you'd be happy Dyche "coaching " 😂 the players we bring in?

I don't believe "the media" (which is a broad term) want us to go down - it's just a legacy opinion from talking heads who never ever actually sit and watch/endure Dyche games every week (a-la Neville and Carragher and Souness and Keane and Savage and Sutton etc etc). All you hear is "he does a good job" because more often than not he doesn't get relegated after 38 games. Same bullsheet about "he's defensively solid" and "hard to beat" and "organized" whilst ignoring the fact he loses most of his games.

None of these oxygen-wasting talking heads who pontificate on things they don't even watch should be given the time of day IMO.
