As a movie actor though, yeah he's just the same character every time. Not great.
To not be negative and moany, my favourite actor is a tie between Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt. I think they are brilliantly diverse in the characters they are able to bring to life.
Agreed, but funnily enough my favourite thing of his was his appearance as Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077. I think he's makes for an excellent character in that.

He's in a film called 'A Good Year', in which he inherits a chateau and vinyard from an uncle. It might be the worst film ever made.
He was excellent in A Beautiful Mind, carried by an excellent overall production in Gladiator, gave a good early performance in Romper Stomper (though the "Davy' character surpassed his) and churned out a glut of 6/10 box office flops and straight to DVD efforts.
Master and Commander was decent, though not particularly because of Crowe.
Overrated.
